After leaving Mia’s room, I headed back to mine I shared with Gwen, who had already passed out. Sleep wasn’t my friend last night, but I was soon woken up for breakfast with Gwen shaking me. “Emma, we need to head downstairs. Only grab something light since we are going to watch the training happening.”
I felt tired, but I couldn’t exactly explain to my friend why I didn’t sleep, even though it was clearly obvious as to why. I didn’t feel safe being back here, and it wasn’t because of David. Something about this pack had my back tingle to keep an eye out.
