I didn’t waste any time. I got onto my bike and took a scenic ride to Erik’s house. I was a bit worried about Naomi and the kids being around, but this couldn’t wait. I needed to speak to him. By the time I got to his place, I was itching to get the information off my chest. Naomi answered the door, and I groaned internally.
“COLE!” she exclaimed with a big smile. Naomi hurriedly ushered me inside. “My goodness! Erik told me you were back, but to see you with my own eyes, goodness!” she led me into the living room and as I looked around, I noticed that the place was quiet.
“Is Erik home?” I questioned.
