Betty
The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the smell of food.
Not just food.
Meat.
Glorious, beautiful meat.
Honestly, at that moment, I was convinced the moon goddess truly loved me.
Still half asleep, I sat up slowly, only to realize something was wrong.
This was not my room.
The bed beneath me was enormous, soft enough for at least three people, and instead of my usual blankets, I was dressed in an incredibly comfortable nightgown. The room smelled faintly of lavender mixed with earth and rain.
Very fancy.
Very suspicious.
I frowned, trying to remember how I got here.
Then everything hit me at once.
“The Black Killers Alpha…” I muttered. “Oh no.”
My eyes widened.
“He was talking and I fell asleep!”
Moon goddess, how embarrassing.
Before panic could fully settle in, my stomach growled loudly enough to shake my soul.
Priorities first.
I immediately attacked the tray of meat beside the bed like a starving animal. By the time I finished eating, I finally gathered enough courage to leave the room and figure out where exactly I was.
The hallway outside was huge and unfamiliar.
Just as I stepped out, I spotted a young woman staring at me excitedly.
“Oh Luna, you’re awake!”
I blinked.
Then slowly turned around to check if someone else was behind me.
Nobody.
I pointed at myself. “Me?”
The girl nodded quickly.
I laughed awkwardly. “I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else. I’m definitely not a Luna.”
“Are you sure?”
That voice did not belong to the girl.
My entire body froze.
Slowly, I turned around.
And immediately forgot how to breathe.
The Alpha of the Black Killers pack stood behind me.
He was unfairly handsome.
Dark hair. Sharp features. Golden-brown eyes that looked almost dangerous.
Moon goddess.
This man looked like he had been handcrafted by divine beings with too much free time.
My gaze dropped briefly to his lips.
Very nice lips.
Dangerously nice lips.
A sudden wave of possessiveness rushed through me so strongly it nearly knocked me over.
Marie purred happily inside my head.
Obviously. He’s our mate.
I nearly choked.
“What?”

Jackson
After hours of meetings, all I wanted was silence.
Instead, I caught the scent of my mate drifting through the hallways.
Instantly, exhaustion disappeared.
I followed the scent until I heard soft laughter ahead of me.
“I’m definitely not a Luna.”
I smiled slightly.
“Are you sure?” I asked.
She turned toward me slowly, and the second our eyes met, something shifted in the air.
Her green eyes widened slightly as she stared at me like she had forgotten how to function.
Dimitri growled proudly inside me.
Mate.
For several seconds, she said absolutely nothing. She just stood there staring at me while her wolf practically screamed inside her head.
Adorable.
I crossed my arms. “Are you going to keep standing there, or do you want me to carry you back to our room?”
To my surprise, her entire face lit up.
“Yes, please.”
The answer came so quickly that I almost laughed.
Without hesitation, she lifted her arms toward me, fully expecting to be carried.
And honestly?
I did not mind at all.

Aaron
When Jackson announced that the sleeping i***t from the Winds Pack was his mate, I genuinely thought I had heard wrong.
We went to destroy a pack.
Instead, we returned with a Luna.
Life is strange.
What makes things even crazier is the fact that she slept for six entire days after arriving here.
Six.
Jackson was so worried that we contacted her father directly. Apparently, this had been happening ever since she shifted at the age of ten. According to him, she spends more time asleep than awake.
I still do not understand how someone like that ended up being the Alpha’s mate.
But there is one thing I know for certain.
Anyone who shifts that early is dangerous.
Jackson was powerful, but even he shifted later than she did.
Which means Betty might actually be stronger than all of us.
That thought alone is terrifying.
Unfortunately, today’s meeting brought even worse news.
Gabriella is pregnant.
The entire room fell silent after we learned the truth yesterday.
Jackson asked whether her father wanted her to terminate the pregnancy, but the omega refused immediately. Gabriella wants to keep the child.
Honestly, I do not know whether to admire her strength or feel sorry for her.
As for Douglas…
His death was too merciful.
Jackson killed him only two days after we captured him. He was tortured, castrated, and burned alive until he died screaming like the coward he was.
Personally, I would have made him suffer longer.
