Kane’s POV Blood slicked the ground under my boots. The metallic scent burned my nose as I ripped my claws from a rogue’s chest and shoved his body to the dirt. He twitched once before going still. “Hold the line!” I barked, voice thundering across the battlefield. My warriors responded instantly, shields locking, claws slashing. For every rogue we cut down, two more seemed to take its place. Snarls and roars shook the night but we held strong.
