Ava’s POV The world blurred around me as they dragged me through the forest. My legs barely moved, I wasn’t walking so much as being hauled, my boots scraping dirt and roots. Every step made the wound in my back where the dagger had sunk into me hurt more. The wolfsbane burned like fire, curling through my veins, slowing everything, my strength, my wolf, even my heartbeat.
