It was as if the elements were all mourning with the Lunar wolves on the day. They said goodbye to their previous alpha. The wind whipped between the buildings, forcing everyone to pull their jackets a little tighter around their bodies as the rain poured down on them. The clouds hung thick and dark in the skies as Star and her family made their way to the pack grounds.
Star felt utterly lost without her mother, but she had to stay strong for her family. When the news broke, she cried in Nick’s arms for a bit and then dried her tears and she hadn’t cried since. Her mother was the strongest woman she knew and she didn’t even cry at her father’s funeral. Star was determined to honour her mother’s memory by not crying today.
