“You intend to make the whole village wolf but me?” Anders asks me. He’s hurt, and he’s angry, but he can’t.
“Yes,” I tell him, crossing my arms across my chest. “It is what needs to be done.”
“You can’t expect me to be the only human man here,” he says.
“I will let everyone choose,” I try to explain. “Not everyone will want to be wolf.”
He turns and stomps away. I know he is angry and hurt, but he made an oath to care for my Ellie and needs to be human to do that. I must have someone who can stay with her during the moon. She is too vulnerable then, as are our kids, while I am away.
Ellie and Thora are making breakfast for everyone. We have yet to talk about it, but even in this snow, I need to gather everyone here. I dress in the bedroom, pulling on many warm layers
