I've been away from home for two weeks, and I can feel the strain it has on me. It's like Lunias is calling out to me. How I know it? I'm not sure. It's a feeling, and at night, it gets worse, as if the Moon Goddess herself is punishing me for leaving. I want to go back, I want to see Valerie, and my family.
'You are not being punished.' Clara growls. She's told me that about ten times in the last two days. "Then what is it?" I snap angrily, my hands fisting. She claims that the Moon Goddess wouldn't punish me for leaving because she made Lucian my mate, but what if it was a test?
What if I should have rejected him and went on with my life?
What if I wasn't strong enough and failed her?
'You give me a headache.' Clara snarls, and I can feel her eyes roll.
