**Chase’s POV** The house finally went quiet after nine. The triplets had begged for one more story—something about brave wolves and full moons—so I gave in, voice low and steady while Amelia listened from the doorway, arms crossed, soft smile tugging at her lips. When Jaden’s eyes finally drifted shut and Jasmine’s breathing evened out, I kissed each forehead, turned off the nightlight, and stepped into the hall. Amelia was waiting.
