“Teal? Are you in there? It’s Ally. Can I come in?” Ally’s voice sounded frantic from the doorway.
“Yes I’m in here, you can come in.” I said back. I had finished breakfast and was waiting for someone to come fetch me so we could head to the airport. Alex had made it clear I wasn’t allowed anywhere without an escort and given the stories I had heard recently I wasn’t going to take any chances being out and about while rogues were still adjusting to this life.
“Are you ok? Anne told me you had a run-in with Julz?” She said looking me over before perching on the side of the bed.
“I think Julz knows I am Alex’s mate. She saw me reach for a bread roll that had fallen on the floor and my shirt lifted up. I told her it was a dog bite from when I was a child but she didn’t look convinced.”
