The raindrops fell gently on the glass window. I watched as they fall, watched the darkened skies, and smiled. I am weird but for some reason, rain soothes me. I watched it as it fell for the next five minutes before sighing and turning back to my desk. It was late, probably eight or nine in the evening and I was alone in our department. Imagine me on a Friday night still working? I had a good reason though. Maggie and her partners have traveled for the holidays and every other friend had already made their own plans with their families. So it was just me and my work.
