Hope
It had been hard, but after a few weeks things had finally settled in the Pack. I was starting to believe that they had really accepted me and that they no longer saw me as a helpless kid locked inside the Pack House. They finally respected me as an Alpha. And it looked like Dagger too was getting the recognition he deserved. He was strong and capable, and his training methods helped improve our warriors in a short time.
I felt like everything was falling into place and I could finally get some rest and enjoy my life. I should have known that things couldn't be that easy, that something would happen to break my peace.
