Hope
I felt numb. Dagger was in danger and I couldn't help him. I was unable to move, I could barely breathe. Doom's son was standing next to me, looking down at me. He had something in his hand, a couple of cables dangling from it, a Taser maybe? That would explain the feeling and my inability to move.
I didn't have many options, so I shifted.
"What the hell is she doing?" Doom's daughter asked.
"What does it look like? She is shifting," her brother responded.
"Do something, hit her again!" she yelled.
The metal prongs from the Taser had fallen during the shifting, and I was able to move. The change from human to wolf had given me the energy I needed.
I didn't think twice about it, I attacked Doom's son. He took a gun out and pointed it at me, but I was faster and bit his wrist,
