The air around us was oddly quiet. The street noise was nothing but a faint whisper. The innocent bystanders on the street were totally oblivious to what was currently going on and what was about to happen. On the ride here, Diego had hacked all the CCTV footage, and he got the location of all the members in the building. These poor idiots had spaced themselves out. Rookie mistake. A mistake they would soon come to regret. If they were all together, they might have better odds to face the two of us, but these poor idiots didn’t stand a chance like this. Diego and I could single handedly take down twenty men on our own. A few of them scattered like this would be a cakewalk. On the first floor, there were four men scattered out in front of every main entrance. These fools didn’t even do their research before coming to America and attacking a legend. There was one entrance that granted employees or gang members to sneak out the back. One that I had remembered using a few times with my mom. Only known to a few. It might have been why the Guajardo’s had missed it. It took one look from me for Diego to catch on. As I led him to the door that was unguarded that would leave us unseen, Diego was quick on my trail. Diego had already hacked all the cameras to play in a loop which would conceal us from any prying eyes. One of the perks of him being a tech wizard. As we rounded the corner of the building, Diego checked through the cameras one more time before heading in, and the people inside were still clueless. When the coast was clear, we quietly broke the lock and stormed in. Our guns ready to let the bullets fly with each passing second. “We need to divide and conquer. The Guajardo’s might have a signaling system that lets the people upstairs know whether everything is clear down here, and we cannot afford to have them spooked. We have a very short window, and we need to make sure they all stay dead. We don’t need any loose ends, so we need to be precise and quick. No guns unless you brought a silencer. We meet up back here to assess the situation” I harshly spat out. The lack of empathy clearing evident in my voice. He nodded in response, and he started stalking the two men on the north entrance and east. That meant the south and west members were mine to kill. I placed the silencer on my gun, and I started to head towards my first victim. I couldn’t afford to get tired. I needed to save my energy for the Guajardo’s that were in the top floor with my father and his guests. The man guarding the south entrance cam into view first. It took me two seconds to aim and send the bullet flying. As the bullet passed through his head, his body began to drop like a sack of potatoes. One man down. One more too go. I started walking to the west exit, and the member that had been guarding this door was talking. It looked like they had just given their hourly check-ins to the boss upstairs which was a very good thing. I quickly aimed for the man’s heart and I let the bullet do the rest. I started heading back to the meeting location I had given to Diego. To my surprise, I had gotten there first by only a minute. He pulled out the device that had let him look through all the cameras. “We have two men at the entrance doors. There is a long hallway to the right of us that would be the perfect blind spot. They wont even see us coming.” Diego whispered. I shook my head in agreeance to his plan and I headed to where he had said. A narrow hallway that was dim from the lack of power. These idiots didn’t even turn on all the lights down here. I glanced towards Diego, who had positioned himself behind a potted plant, and I pointed to the two men on the right. The two men were going to be all mine. A devilish smirk slowly formed on his face. I knew that i***t was going to be having too much fun. With my fingers, I slowly started counting down from five. When all my fingers had dropped down, the bullets had started making their way to the unaware members. It took five seconds for them to just plummet to the ground. The look of horror, as their friends started to just collapse. It was no use thought. In the next second or two, they would too be dead. Diego and I got up from where we had just been, and we started to make our way to the elevators. The entire building had brought back memories I had thought were gone. The various times we had brought food to my father on his late-night meetings which were probably gang related now that I think about it. I had been consumed in my own thoughts that I hadn’t realized that Diego had pressed the button. It wasn’t till the ringing from the elevator’s arrival did it finally get me out of my own head. Diego had walked in first, and I hesitantly followed behind. I needed my mind to be clear. I couldn’t let the memories of the past make me lose focus. There were lives on the line. My father’s. When the elevator’s doors closed, my nerves started to go haywire. This was not how I intended to meet my father after all this time, but it seems appropriate in some sick way. To slow my racing heart, I started to slow down my breathing. Emptying my head from the feelings and completely detaching myself. “We are going to have to separate. There are three men in the control room on the tenth floor that I need to get to, and you need to get to your father.” I couldn’t form out the words, so I just nodded in agreement. “There will be two men outside of the office that you can easily take.” He leaned the device, so I could take a good look at what was waiting for me. ““There are four men inside with your father. Only two of them have guns. The other two might have a revolver on them, but I can’t see it through this tiny screen. The other two look like the second in line and the capo. The boss doesn’t seem to be with them, but you know this wasn’t done without his permission. Wait for me before you go in, but if you can’t, I will be there in a few minutes to save your ass.” A light chuckle escaped his mouth. The bell to the elevator rang revealing the floor that the control room was on. Diego turned to me and gave me one quick hug. “If you get hurt, I swear to everything I hold dear, I will burn all of the Guajardo’s to the ground.” I couldn’t keep in the chuckle that I was holding in. What made that funnier was the fact that I knew what he said was true. He would, and I would do the same thing for him. His arms unwrapped from my body, and he passed me the device that revealed where the men were. He then proceeded to head out the elevator towards his destination. The doors finally shut behind him, and I started to look at the men. The layout was perfect. The elevator was on the opposite side of where the two men were. I would still need to pass several office to get there, but they wouldn’t be able to hear the ding from the elevator. It would reveal my presence, and I couldn’t afford that. I need to draw the two men that had guns out. An idea popped into my mind, and I started to take off the sound suppressor from my assault rifle. I needed them to hear it. The elevator opened to reveal the top floor. The nerves had completely left my body. The adrenaline was slowly taking over. I stepped out, and I glimpsed into the device one more time. The people on the other end of the screen were completely oblivious to their members that was currently dead or soon to be dead. I started to move towards the hallway that would lead me to my father’s office. As I rounded the corner, I took one breath in before releasing my bullets into their chest and head. Making the most possible noise I could draw out the other two. As soon as I knew they were head, I hid behind a metal desk that would easily conceal me. Lile clockwork. The two men with assault rifles came flying out of the room with the doors still open behind them. I was under a desk that was off to the side, so I couldn’t take a glimpse into the room yet. In one quick move, I stood up, and I aimed my bullets towards the two men. The fear in their faces as they realized they couldn’t react quick enough would be a moment I would never forget. The bodies laid lifeless on the floor. The sudden panic from the men in the room proved that they had thought they brought enough muscle to take on anything. They immediately shut the doors thinking it would save them from what was waiting right outside. They were surely mistaken. I dropped my rifle onto the floor and ran towards the wall to the left side of the door and waited. It took two minutes for the second in command to send out the capo. He was able to take two steps before I fired a bullet into his brain with one of the Glocks I had strapped to my thigh. The distant yelling coming from the room let me know that the second in command had thought he was untouchable. Since he had been surrounded by people with weapons, he didn’t believe he needed one. Because nothing could surely get past them, I bet he wishes he could go back and change that. I could hear him yelling at one of the men in the room threatening where he could find a gun. That’s when I decided to reveal myself. I slowly rounded the corner and entered my father’s office making sure to close the doors behind me. “You’re just a little girl. You couldn’t have done this to my men.” The second in command spat viciously. “Aurora?” The voice of Zach had filled the room. I quickly looked around the room till my eyes met his. He had been beaten up and tied like a pig. My father’s confused face was the next thing I saw. The realization started to sink in as he started to take in my appearance, and the once tamed man was now trembling to break free from the binds. The third man that was with him had taken me by surprise. It was the man from the club. “What do you mean Aurora? I thought she died?” The mystery man questioned. My father and Zach didn’t say a word, but it was enough to answer his question. He began to twist and shake out of his binds that were placed on him viciously. “You touch her, and you die!!” My father roared. “I swear to god I will kill you Vincent.” The man from the club spat out. “All I have to do is call my men, and you will all be dead.” The second in command that had just been revealed to be called Vincent cried out. “Call them.” I challenged. He grabbed the radio and started barking out orders. “Come up to the top floor. I want you to kill them all.” He spoke into the device with a smile on his face. There was nothing but silence. The smirk on my face just kept getting bigger and bigger. “They’re all dead.” I retorted. “By whom?” He questioned. “By me.” I replied. The smirk on my face was completely gone. I hated being undermined because I was a female. “Who are you really?” Vincent asked. His face was filled with curiosity. “Baby.” “That’s impossible. You’re a girl.” He muttered. I started to take off the top that I was wearing that was concealing the tattoo that I had gotten when I took the leadership role in the gang. The man from the club started to shake and stir even more. My father and Zach had continued trying to get out of the ropes. The tattoo would be recognized by all the mafia world, so I always had to remain covered to keep my identity a secret. One look at it, and word would spread about who I am and what I do. As soon as I showed my back to him, the tone in his voice changed. All three men looked at me in amazement. I couldn’t tell yet if it was a good or bad thing. “I am so sorry. We don’t want to start war.” Vincent pleaded. I slowly turned back to the man that was threatening me a second ago that was now on his knees. Begging for my mercy that would never come. Diego had finally made his way through the doors and by my side. “An attack against the Black Dragons is an attack against me and all of Sicily. All the members of Guajardo will be dead by Friday. If I must, I will burn the whole city to the ground to make sure there is no one left standing.” I spoke throughout the room.
