The rest of the weekend had passed by very slowly. It was a very exhausting night to say the least. Diego had stayed at my house the entire weekend. I made sure to watch over him all day and night. Never leaving him not even for a second. I was beyond paranoid that he would seize in his sleep. I made a few calls the first night, so a doctor could come check Diego and I for what exactly was put in our drinks. It took a couple of hours for the results to come in, but it came out positive for GHB. In other words, the drug that was put into our drinks was liquid ecstasy. I had only a small amount, and I still threw up what I had swallowed. Even like that, I could still feel the effects of the drug. Diego had consumed his whole drink which was also spiked. I was going to make sure those girls paid for what they did. I just needed to wait till Diego was feeling better to hunt them down. Even with all of this happening, I still had to fight back the thoughts of the man at the club. I had been searching for any kind of information that could tell me who that man was, but I couldn’t find him anywhere. I couldn’t find links to this man through any of the members that I had already been informed about. I couldn’t find any information on Blake either. It was almost like they were ghosts. I did find the names of the two bimbos that had drugged us in the club. It was only a matter of time till we killed them. I was starting school tomorrow, and I didn’t know how to feel. Blake had called so many times. Constantly worrying about the health of Diego. I had to reassure him every single time he called. I was on the couch when I heard my phone beep. I picked it out of my pocket, and I looked at the screen to see it was Zach who had just texted. Since we have gotten back, your dad hasn’t left the office. He is worried sick about you. Please call him. I had started walking to my bedroom when my phone starting ringing. This time it was a call. As I looked at my phone, I realized it was Luis. A member I had ordered to follow my father at all times. He had been doing it for the past three years, and I had never received a call from him. It was always w****y texts to let me know what was going on. I knew this had to be bad. “Boss, it looks like the Guajardo’s are planning an attack against your father.” Luis’s panicked voice echoed through the phone. I questioned, “The little gang from Sicily? They’re a little far from home, aren’t they?” It took a few seconds for Luis to finally respond to my question. His voice was laced with fear as he said, “Word on the street is that he is weak. Talk about one of his kin has gone missing, and they think another mafia has them captive. Gangs from all over are going to be gunning for him claiming to have .” “Where did this information come from?” My voice was filled with anger and curiosity. He has been the boss for a long time. If news went around that he is weak, everyone will come to take a piece, and I have been gone for a very long time. I’m not entirely well informed on how strong the bronze dragons still are. I did know one thing. One thing that has stayed with them since the gang got created. They are respected by many and feared by everyone. That should be enough to steer everyone away. All except the power-hungry leaders, like the Guajardo’s. Luis’s voice brought me back to reality. “I am not sure boss, but I can find out. What do you want me to do?” Luis immediately asked. If requested, he would go guns blazing alone for me. He might not know all the details, but he knew the man he was spying on had to be important to me or someone I was trying to overthrow. “I’ll handle it.” I replied. As I said that, Luis’s voice changed from controlled to desperate. “Boss, let me send some men.” I knew he feared for me. No matter how good I was. My crew are like family, and I knew they would all put themselves on the line first before endangering me. No matter how deadly I am. “This is my business. I will handle it. How many men are there?” I spoke assertively into the phone. “Around twenty or so.” “It’ll be a piece of cake. I can do this in my sleep. If anything happens before I get there, I want you to notify me. Be there in ten.” I chucked as I hung up the call. I started heading for the armory on the other side of the house. As I walked, I could hear the footsteps of someone behind me. By the way that they walked, I instantly knew it was Diego.   “You can’t come. You just got better.” I ordered without looking back at the person who was behind me. “The hell I can’t. I’m going with you. You can’t lock me up. I go wherever you go. If you’re going to kick some ass, I am going with you.” He barked back. There was no point arguing. I was just going to waste more time that I don’t already have. The doctor had cleared him already, and I knew I was just going to waste time arguing with him. Once I rounded the corner into the armory, I started gearing up. I put everything on just because this mission was unpredictable. I needed to be prepared for everything and worse case scenarios. Another reason I needed to be prepared was because this territory is unfamiliar. I wasn’t going to get shot for playing stupid. Bullets hurts. Since I have done missions like this before, it took five minutes to get everything I needed. Diego had also suited up. No matter how many dirty looks I shot his way, he was still not budging. Once we finished, we started to walk outside. To my surprise, there was already a blacked-out van that was waiting for us. Luis. I stepped inside and immediately put on my earphones. I needed to get ready for what was about to come, and this was my ritual for going to battle. No matter how small or how big the fight was. I always had to zone out everything around me and just get in that mindset. The driver was one of our loyal members from Sicily. Majority of the members wanted to follow me to the states. It was usually members who didn’t have any family ties. The driver I had always seen around, but he was more like me. He stayed to himself, and he did everything I asked of him. Diego jumped in the backseat, and the van automatically started moving. I had been looking outside the window when I felt a light tap. I turned to look at Diego who passed me a blueprint of the building. It was thirty floors. If I knew Diego, he would be hacking the CTV’s as we rode. That little s**t probably eavesdropped on my conversation with Luis. What an ass. The next ten minutes passed by in a blur. The van finally stopped, and I looked around to see that we were parked in an alleyway. I quickly took off the earphones and jumped out of the vehicle. Diego was already by my side ready for the fight that we were going to bring to them. “Let’s go kick some ass, shall we?” He cockily smirked. “Let’s” They messed with the wrong one.
