By the time I finally managed to get off of that road, finally managed to get onto a road with more vehicles, with more things that I needed to focus on, that needed my attention, the sun had reached it’s peak and I was starting to feel the side effects of being in the vehicle for so long. It felt like my arms were burning, the sun shining directly down onto them through the windscreen and my window, and I couldn’t help but wish that I had been able to put sunscreen on before I had left. I would be bound to feel the effects of my actions later today, when I tried to settle down tonight in bed.
