It felt as though I had become hyper aware of everything around me, of every single thing that was happening, of the way that the gravel was crunching beneath my feet, the direction in which the wind was blowing my hair, the distance between myself and every car that was either approaching or had already passed. And those were just a few of the things that I could name off the top of the list as I made my way around my car, inspecting its’ exterior, trying to see if there was something wrong with it that could act as a explanation for what had happened, an explanation as to why my car would have made such a noise, why it would have shook like that. But as unlucky as I was, there wasn’t so much as a single scratch on the exterior of the vehicle, let alone anything that would have been dra
