I scream in fear of seeing them crash to the ground. I run to the broken windows and stare out as the two of them start rolling around on the ground, each of them trying to get the upper hand on the other.
Sounds of breaking glass rent the air. I look up to see creatures of all kinds jumping out the windows of all three floors of the academy. They land so hard on the ground that it causes the land beneath me to shake. They crawl closer to the two men as they fought. But none of them went to intervene in the brawl. It was as if they were trying to see who was going to win this fight.
I worried that this was going to outnumber Calen. Were they seeing who was going to be their new master? Or were they all just waiting for the opportunity to attack Calen when he lest expects it?
