Chapter 7: Determine

THIRD PERSON POV

'tok tok'

"Come in!" Shouted Mr. Andrews, he is the doctor of Elaine

"Oh Good Morning Mr. Yates" greeted Mr. Andrews as he saw him coming

"I heard my daughter collapsed again?" Mr. Yates said in very low tune and lowering his head he felt so dumb when he allow his daughter to move around and do something new

"Yes but your daughter is doing her very best!" Mr. Yates smiled as Mr. Andrews draw some words like that

"So what am I gonna do? Am I gonna let her still do this?" Mr. Yates asked

"Yes and No... Yes for she can control some of her emotions unknowingly and her phobia will just trigger if someone showed love in a way of something then no if she will continue faint" Mr. Yates holds his chin and thinking of what he will do next. He is a very busy person but he never failed to gave time for her daughter's condition. In his principle the life of his children is more important tham the company business itself but still it is important

"You're making me think" Mr. Andrews smiled and grab a donut

"As you didn't does that!" Mr. Yates stand

"I'll go think thanks Doc!" Mr. Andrews just wave his hand and smiled then at Mr. Yates

On the other hand, Elaine is having an exercise to relieve her stress and discomfort. Her form of exercise is by just sitting in the Bermuda grass and listen to some music

As you can see, Elaine is having a social anxiety but she is doing well in the crowd. Her emotions are not also limited in her side but not in the outside. She didn't know that she is coping well in her condition than those previous day's

"Elaine can we talk?" Her dad showed up and astonishment registers in her face

"Dad? It's to early for dinner" Her dad usually go home late and missing the afternoon but this time her father is way early. Now she has a vibe of something important her father might say

"It is about how you fainted the other day" Elaine can't look at her father and just sat on the ground then lowering her head and her father bends down it's knee and patted Elaine's head

"Your doctor said that your doing great with your condition" She can't believe what her father just said. It was just the other day that Mr. Andrews told that she is not doing that good with her condition then now her father is telling her that she is having it under her sleeves.

"What? He just said that I'm not doing it that good" Mr. Yates paused and look at the clouds thinking of something to answer her daughter's question

"Maybe he is trying to test your emotions. On how you deal discouragements. Then look at you! Your coping those with an exercise!" Elaine just chuckle and stands up then said

"Small things dad! Small things!" Mr. Yates stands up too and smiled at her daughter

"So dad? Can I wander without guards?" Elaine ask while putting out her airpods and grab a salad on her right hand

"Bring Lucio" Elaine thinks that Franco and Lucio told her father about that and it's okay

"Where's Franco?" Elaine ask

"Your brother is requesting him abroad. They are quite good friends and he might go home these days." Elaine smiled happily and hugs her father. She is very happy that her brother will go home after how many years! They haven't communicated well because he has an issue with their father and Elaine was not allowed to have some internet before. It's just now she decided to step up the world and try to blend in. She can't live in the shadows forever

"Really!!" Elaine exclaimed and hug her father

"Dad I heard about Franco and Lucio's Life.. thank you for helping them" Elaine said while still hugging her father. Mr. Yates kissed her daughter's forehead and say

"I didn't help them because it is the right thing. I help them because I can see how they are determined to stand up amidst of complications in life and also we are also good friends with their fathers" Elaine smiled

"Okay dad" Mr. Yates phone rings and hurriedly goes to the office as for Elaine proceeded inside the house

"Dad gave me another chance to overcome my phobia and my social anxiety I need to do my very best not to fail him and most importantly not to faint ever again!" Elaine said with determination

On the other hand, White is at the school sitting in his chair and not quite listening to the teacher because he was thinking of Elaine even him couldn't understand on why does that girl will always be on his mind. He sometimes think he is going crazy

"Mr. Andersought? Can you solve this equation?" His teacher is calling him but White is still in the middle of thinking

"Mr. Andersought!!!!!" His teacher screamed and White almost jump because of astonishment and immediate rise of voice

"ELAINE!!!" White shouted unknowingly then whole of the class look at him confuse and shock. Then seconds passed then White realizes what he has done and decided to grab his bag and rushes to go out

"I'm sorry sir, I'm not feeling well today" His teacher just nodded and continue discussing while White decided to head out to the school garden leaving his classmates puzzled

"Elaine! What are you doing to me?" White ask himself while sitting on the grass and looking from a far. That place is the most peaceful area of the school because the classes is still going on and there are few people roaming around

"I just saw her smile last night and this is happening to me then her father ask me to have some distance with her. Darn!" White frustratedly complain and picks a stone then threw it away.

"Ouch" White paused for a while because he hit someone

"Do I look like river to you?" He then saw a man lying down the grass while reading a book just a few meters away from him

"I'm sorry it was just.. nervemind" White answered and continue to look a far he is still in the verge of Elaine while the man he hit decided to come over him

"Tell me then I'll forgive you!" White look at the man infront of him intensely. He imagined himself as this man before he transferred into this University. Cool and boastful with a bully aura

"It's none of your business bro" White ignores the man then it sat beside him

"What's with the attitude Mr. Thinking of Deeper Thoughts? I'm just fooling around" He laughs and offer his hand to White

"I'm Richard! I just transferred here too so I have no any friends" White just sigh and  thinks that he was in the same boat with this guy. They are both transferees after all

"I'm White and yeah a transferre just like you" Richard eyes grew widely he couldn't believe that a very manly looking guy like this man has not got any friends. Well look at this guy! He has no friends too

"You know my life before and now is quitely different. I'm a bully before and a asshole" White turn his head and look at Richard he can't believe that this man is very much like him before

"Why did you transfer either?" White ask

"It is because... My childhood friend is living somewhere here and I wanted to see her badly then ask her to be my girlfriend"  White laughs with Richards reason "We haven't seen each other since Elementary and I guess she gone prettier these days" Richard added with sparkling eyes then White chuckles

"Even if its not that valid but I admire your determination" White patted Richards back and laughs loudly

"Err.. What was your reason?" Ricard ask back

"We move out but at first I really hate it but now I've got the reason to stay and to live here" Richard also is in awe because this man is very much like him in terms of life perspective and everything

"We can be best friends dude!" White just smiled and Richard is confuse

"You think I'm joking right???" Richard pouted and White seemingly notices that Richard is a bit childish

"You are a freshmen right?" White ask then confirms himself that this man is quite kid brain. He looks so tough but inside of him was a child lurking in his heart. Just like his baby brother who died

"What's with the mood bro?" Richard notices White sudden change of mood

"Ahh nothing" the bell suddenly rangs and White will go to his next class. Until now he is still thinking of what to do with Elaine

"No matter what it is Bro always think of the possibilities of your action! The negative and the positive and the benefits!!! See yah!!" White paused and realized what he has said

"He's right!" White smiled and hurriedly goes to his next class

"Darn Richard outsmarted me!"
