CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

FINALLY!

Ang pinakaaabangan ng lahat!

After almost three months of preparation! Here they are inside of the church for their church wedding.

Aguillar-Harden church wedding.

As everyone's expectation, the childhood husband and wife take time to admit that they have mutual feelings. They love each other and they want to be together.

"Go and marry her son. No one is against you." Panghihimok pa nga ng mag-asawang Yana at Terrence ng umamin si Niel sa kanilang mag-asawa.

"Be ready, guys! The bride is here!" malakas na sambit ng emcee na nakatalaga sa bungad ng simbahan.

Then.....

The bell rang!

And as the bell rang, a sweet melody was heard, and as the request of the groom, the music was aired live by his sister Rochelle Ann together with the choir of the church. Actually, she was an ordained sister of the Catholic Church. It's been a few tears since then.

"Natupad din sa wakas ang pangarap namin ng daddy mo, anak. Ang ikasal ang anak naming dalawa although you've been through a lot of struggles bago kayo humantong dito sa simbahan. Sayang lang at may asawa na lahat ang mga anak ng Papa Rey ninyo kaya wala siyang mai-match kay Sam. By the way, congratulations sa inyong dalawa Patrick Niel at Whitney Pearl my dear," masayang pahayag ni Terrence ng nasa harapan na sila ng manugang.

"Dibale po, Daddy. Dahil pinsang-buo naman po kami ni insan Pierce kaya ganoon na rin po. Maraming salamat po daddy," nakangiting sagot ni Niel saka hinagkan sa noo ang butihin niyang biyanan.

"It's your day, mga anak. Kaya wala na akong ibang sasabihin sa inyo kundi ang mahalin ninyo ang isa't-isa at laging tandaan ang tiwala at pang-unawa ang magiging susi sa matagumpay na pagsasama. Congratulations, mga anak." saad din ni Yana.

"Yes, I will, Mommy. Thank you very much, " tugon niya saka hinagkan sa noo.

Then he turned his gaze to his bride.

"Let's go, wifey. Baka mainip si father at layasan tayo," pabulong niyang wika pero narinig ng mga nasa malapit lalo na ang mga biyanan kaya naman napatawa ang mga ito bago lumapit sa kinaroroonan ng mag-asawang Cyrus at Weng.

"Huwag kang makulit, lampa ko. Baka ako ang lalayas. Gusto mo ba iyon?" pabulong ding tugon ng bride!

Kaya naman ay napahalakhak ng bahagya ang mga nakarinig.

Natapos din!

After a few minutes of marching, ay nakarating din sila sa wakas sa harap ng altar kung saan naroon ang pari na matiyagang naghihintay sa kanila.

Then the bell rang again as the priest started to speak.

"In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen." Panimula ng pari sa seremonya ng kasal.

"Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ. We are all gathered here in the kingdom of God to withness the sacred matrimony of our brother Patrick Niel Aguillar and our sister Whitney Pearl Harden. But before we go further to this ceremony, let me ask you first. If someone of you here inside the church is against this wedding? If there is, you may now speak or else you'll forever remain silent," muli ay pahayag ng pari saka bahagyang ipinagala ang paningin.

"Yes, I do, father," sagot ni Patrick Niel na talaga namang hindi mawala-wala angngiti sa labi.

Bumaling ang pari sa gawi ng bride saka tinanong din ito.

"Let me ask you, Whitney Pearl Harden, did you came here in the kingdom of God as well as infront of the crowd to be lawfully wedded wife to Patrick Niel Aguillar by your own free will and no one force you?" the priest asked.

"Yes, Father, I do," masaya ring tugon ng bride.

Then, the priest paused for a moment before he continued the ceremony.

"You may now exchange your rings as you exchange the promises of your love." Pinaglipat-lipat ng pari sng paningin sa nga kinakasal.

Huminga ng malalim si Niel bago nagsalita na para bang doon kumukuha ng sapat na lakas ng loob na magpatuloy.

"I'm not a poet to have a speeches for you, my dear. But let me tell you, my love, since I was a child, I had a crush on this little girl who always calls me lampa. She's a brave kid who always fights for the right. And to avoid fighting with you, I kept my path away from you. But our parents are the best of friends that I ever seen as the best parents in the world.

The world was not on our side, my love, because we both grew up in different ways as our ways was being parted away that's why I never had this chance to tell you my feelings when I'm in a right age. Until the day that we both have our own relationship that leads me into the shameful part of my life. Then you came along, and you saved me, my love. Then I realised a lot from that, we wasted a lot of time. But I want to thank our Almighty Father in Heaven cause He made a way for us.

Madamdaming pahayag ni Patrick Nie saka ipinasuot ang singsing sa palasingsingan ng asawa ang kumikinang na ginto. Purong ginto simbolo raw ng tunay at pure love nila.

Then the priest pointed the microphone to the bride, which symbolizes that it's her turned to talk.

"Way back then, in my younger years, my Tito ninong gave me a gold necklace that I never misplace nor take away from my neck. Then, one day I saw the twin of this necklace to him, the clumsy boy who always let other kids bully him. Who stuck most of the time that I can see him. One day I asked my dad, why this necklace of mine has a twin to this clumsy boy but instead of answering lme he let me signed a paper without knowing that this paper was connected to the necklaces that we're wearing.

As time goes on, long consecutive years of living I never see him again. Until the day that I came home here in our country, we bumped accidentally, but I didn't recognize him, so my life goes on as nothing happened as I don't remember him.

Then, a tragedy came into my life. I lost the man who never got tired of loving me despite the coldness that I'm showing to him. In my darkest time I went overseas, there I met again this clumsy boy but it doesn't make sense to me but as the days goes on I felt something strange, so I decided to come home. Only to find out that this clumsy boy was the missing piece of my life.

I love this clumsy boy who has been my husband since our childhood. Because of him, I learned to live my life again because of him, I gained my confidence to love again. And this clumsy boy is no other than the man who's in front of me.

Now clumsy Prince, wear this ring as a symbol of my love for you. Thank you for teaching me again to love. Thank you for coming into my life as you waited for how many years for me to regain my lost memory. I can not say that I'll not hurt you nor I'll not let you cry because I'm just a human being who can make mistakes but I can rest assure you that for better for worst, 'till death do us part because PARA SA IYO AKO'Y IIBIG PANG MULI 'cause I KNOW HOW TO LOVE YOU WELL. Hindi siya iyaking tao. Dahil hate na hate niya ang sad atmosphere at kagaya ng papa MJ niya. But as she uttered those words ay kusang naglaglagan ang kaniyang luha but it's a tears of joy not a tears of sadness.

Kung may uutot man sa loob ng simbahang kinaroroonan nila ay maririnig ng kahit nasa pintuan sa labas dahil sa katahimikan kaya naman bago pa mainip ang bagong kasal ay nagsalita na ang pari para ibigay sa mga ito ang final blessing.

"By the power bestowed upon me by the Holy Catholic Church, I may now pronounce you as husband and wife. Son you may now kiss your bride. Congratulations." Pagbibigay basbas ng pari.

Slowly and tenderly, he raised up his wife viel, and then he held her both cheek.

He kissed her with a passionate, full of love and respect! A kiss that it long last up to a few minutes that if the crowd didn't make a sound, they might forget that they're still in front of the crowd.

In the reception of the wedding!

"WHAT?! ARE YOU SURE OF THAT, SIR?" Dahil sa gulat ay talaga namang makabasag eardrums ang boses ni Whitney Pearl.

"Yeah, Miss Harden---I'm sorry for that, Mrs Aguillar, I should say. You need to come here in Los Angeles ASAP," tugon ng nasa kabilang linya.

"Boss, alam mo naman pala na naging Mrs Aguillar ako ngayong araw. Ngunit bakit tinawagan at pinapabalik mo pa rin ako? Aba'y nasa one month vacation ako ah. Supposedly, we'll travel for our honeymoon tonight!"

Ah, lumalabas ang pagka-LEONA niya literally kapag ganoon! Kakatapos lamang ng kasal nila ng asawa kung tutuusin. Subalit dahil sa mga lintik na kaaway ng gobyerno na hindi maubos-ubos ay mukhang mauunsiyami ang biyahe nilang mag-asawa patungong langit! Este honeymoon nila. Isa pa naman siya sa mga virgin bride!

"ALAM kong inappropriate, Leona ko. Pero makapaghintay ang honeymoon natin. Kung ang hindi pagkatuloy ng travel natin ngayon ngunit makapagsilbi ka sa taong bayan at makapagligtas ng libo-libong mamamayan walang problema sa akin. You have ny permission, Leona ko. Disappointed siya dahil nataon sa kasal nila ang tawag ng tungkulin. And, at the same time, he is so proud of his wife. Dahil sigurado siyang marami na naman itong matutulungan.
