“I CAN’T BELIEVE you believe him!”
Caro kept on cursing since he let Alessa come inside the apartment. Sanay naman na si Alessa na pala-mura itong si Caro kaya hinayaan niya na lamang. She just sits there, looking pretty, doing nothing but staring at the new face of her ex-fiance. She was still wondering how it happened. Hindi niya sana ito malalaman kung hindi niya lang narinig na may kausap si Clemente sa telepono, and he called him Caro.
“I asked Clemente who he’s calling Caro. Caro De Luca died about three months ago so I couldn’t believe it at first. But I have this strange feeling that you are alive. I tried to ask Clemente again but he did not answer me. So I asked Bruno.”
“That brute!” Caro exclaimed. “You believe in him now? I don’t look like Caro.”
Alessa shrug
