"Where's your girlfriend?" Daddy asked suddenly when he visited my condo unit.
"She's in Baguio right now because of her oath-taking tomorrow. Why did you suddenly visit my condo unit?"
Daddy raised an eyebrow. "Your mother told me that your girlfriend isn't wealthy."
I furrowed my brow. "What's the problem?"
Nagkibit-balikat siya. "There's no problem if she's not wealthy like us, but I hope she won't cheat you like what happened to your sister Nathalie."
I looked at Daddy seriously. "Don't you know what really happened between her and her boyfriend? Nathalie wasn't cheated; it was Mom who made up stories about Nathalie's boyfriend. It has been explained to you several times."
"My point is, I hope you won't be taken advantage of just because you're wealthy."
