Axel POV

Instead of eating the food on the table I decided just to drink and put it on the refrigerator. I’m so f*****g tired, and I just want to drink. Masyadong sakit sa ulo ang mga shareholder ng kompanya ko dahil sa sobrang demanding nila, akala siguro nila wala akong ginagawa. Hindi ko hahayaan na bumagsak ang kompanya ko at ginagawa ko ng mabuti ang trabaho ko. Hindi ko pa magawa ang mga plano ko ngayon dahil sa sobrang dami kong kailangan tapusing trabaho saka alam ko rin na papasundan ako ng ama ko, hindi alam kung anong balak n’ya pero alam ko rin na may plano si Dad bago n’ya ibigay sa akin ng kompanya ng pamilya namin.

I finish three bottle of beer and I decide to rest. Gusto kong uminom pero ayoko naman na magpakalasing dahil may trabaho pa ako bukas. Ayokong magkaroon na naman ng hangover dahil maaga akong pupunta sa site bukas para tingnan ang iba pa namin on-going project. Hindi pa namin masimulan itayo ang project D dahil may kailangan pa kaming ayusin sa lupang pagtatayuan non pero next week pwede na kaming magsimula. Humiga na ako sa kama at ipinikit ko ang mga mata ko ng may imahe ng babae ang bigla na lang dumaan sa isipan ko. Hindi ko alam kung bakit naiisip ko ang nangyari noong gabing nalasing ako, that woman really made me crazy occasionally. There is something with that woman and some part of me my head saying I need to see her again, to touch her but f**k I don’t want to make a mistake again. What happened to us is a f*****g mistake because I’m drunk! I love Reah and even though she already married to someone I can’t stop loving her. f*****g bullshit, kesa makatulog ako kung ano-ano ang pumapasok sa isip ko.

Bumangon ako at muling kumuha ng beer sa ref para inumin ‘yon, if this beer could only erase all of my feelings toward Reah I think everything will be back to normal again. I used to be free like my friends, I bedded a lot of women but when Reah come into my life everything changes for a bit. I did bed some girls when we are still together but that’s not serious. I’m not a good guy who is so loyal to his lover, I have my weakness too, but I never plan to marry someone else aside from her, but she’s married to someone else instead.

I sighed and finished the bottle of beer that I am holding and went back to the bedroom to sleep, I hope this time I will sleep peacefully without any other thoughts that will come in my mind that might ruin my mood again. I’m tired and I want to rest but I can’t do it because of the random thoughts that is bothering me.

I close my eyes again and sleep peacefully. I have a big day tomorrow and a f*****g countless meeting ahead.

The next morning, I woke up so early even though I slept late last night. Bumangon na ako sa higaan at dumiretso sa banyo para maghilamos at mag ayos ng sarili ko. Maaga pa naman kaya nagdesisyon akong mag jogging muna bago pumasok sa trabaho. Nagpalit ako ng damit ko at lumabas ako ng unit ni Caius saka bumaba sa baba para mag jogging. The sun is still not showing up, for the pete sake the time is only four o’clock in the morning.

I just jog around the area, and no one is bothering me, wala rin naman kasing madaming tao dahil sobrang aga pa nga. I usually go to the gym to workout but it’s too early to go to Caius gym and I don’t want to bother him anymore. He is a busy person too and he already did a lot of favor for me.

I decided to stop jogging around five thirty in the morning and decided to get a cup of coffee in the near café, I went inside and order a hot americano with no sugar for me.

“One hot americano without sugar,” I said to the cashier.

“Your taste still the same,” she said to me.

“What are you doing here?” I asked her.

“I own this café,” she said to me.

“Does your cousin know that you own this?” I asked her.

“No, don’t tell him yet. I saw you the other day here and you’re with him so I just f*****g hide” sabi n’ya sa akin.

I laugh and shake my head, “You can’t hide from him,” sabi ko sa kan’ya.

“I know, he even let someone clean my unit and I just asked his secretary to tell the housekeeper to cook food for me without the knowledge of my cousin,” sabi n’ya sa’kin.

“Be nice to Caius, Eireen” sabi ko sa kan’ya.

“I’m nice to everyone, kuya Axel!” she said at inirapan ako.

“Then why can’t you stop liking someone you know you couldn’t like?” I asked her and she glared at me.

“I heard your girlfriend is married to someone else, my bad ex-girlfriend perhaps” she said to me.

“Whatever Eireen,” sabi ko sa kaniya.

“You know what Kuya Axel, your friends are right, and you should listen to them. It’s not my intention to hear what you are talking about last time, but she is not good for you, as your friend kuya Axel and I know you treat me as a sister also you should let her go because she is not worth it. I know from the start that I’m a b***h for not liking her and for being rude to her all the time because she is not good and I’m telling you she have a bad personality not the prim and proper that you see,” sabi n’ya sa akin “Here’s your coffee and that’s free, so leave before my cousin know that I own this café” she said to me.

Napailing na ulit ako at umalis na ng café n’ya, she is still stubborn Eireen that I know. I went back to Caius unit after that small chat with Eireen at her café. While I was walking inside the lobby, I saw Caius secretary and I think she is already leaving already but I call her.

“Ms. Cruz!” tawag ko sa kan’ya.

Tumingin naman s’ya sa akin at nilapitan ako.

“Good morning sir Axel,” sabi n’ya sa akin.

“What is Caius scheduled this afternoon?” tanong ko sa kan’ya.

I need to discuss something to Caius about the project that involves his company.

“Wala pong naka schedule na lakad si Sir Caius mamaya,” sabi n’ya sa akin.

“Okay. Set an appointment for me, I need to talk to him about the project involving one of his hotels” sabi ko sa kanila.

“Okay po,” sabi n’ya sa akin.

Tinalikuran ko na s’ya at dumiretso na ako elevator at sumakay ‘don, I need to take a bath and leave for work. When the elevator stops at the right floor I went outside and walk towards Caius unit when my phone suddenly ring, so I answered it.

“What do you need Grant?” I asked my f*****g friend.

“Ang aga ang init ng ulo mo,” sabi n’ya sa akin.

“It’s too early to piss me of also,” sabi ko sa kan’ya.

“I need to talk to you, I need to build a new warehouse,” sabi n’ya sa’kin.

“Let’s talk later at my office,” sabi ko sa kan’ya.

“Okay see you later,” sabi n’ya sa’kin at pinatay na ang tawag.

Ibinalik ko na sa bulsa ko ang cellphone ko and keep on walking but I did not notice that there was someone in my way kaya nabangga ko s’ya at nahulog n’ya ang bag na dala n’ya pati na rin ang café na iniinom ko ay nahulog din and it was all over the floor.
