I was lost, in a reverie, while doing the one thing I do most discreetly but here, pretty openly. Ogling. Those sculptured bodies without a blemish, those unrealistic eyes that it required a custom made lens to find such unique colors and how to forget those outer-worldly handsome faces and inhumane hair colors. Let me not even venture the dangerous zone of their manlihood if I didn't want to passout from all blood pumping into my face...
Everything shimmered and glowed in their glory. I could even hear the Hawaiian music in the background with these male models that Adonis would be jealous of stood in my view. It felt so surreal, like I had died and gone to heaven and these were the angels in the heaven. Or had I really died that night?
My sense had dulled. It felt numb, all I could think about were the gorgeous men around here.
I felt someone grabbing me and turn me around only to come face to face with the most vivid silver eyes staring into mine. Then came the shaking, wanting me to get out of this trance.
It was actually the hiccup that broke my dazed self as I subconsciously wiped the bleeding nose from the blood from the back of my hand. The fog in my head clearing up a little. The first thing I saw was a water everywhere. Not just water but a wall of water, standing tall like a barrier between us and the harem of naked men.
How was this even possible? Was I dreaming while being wide awake?
There was noise all around, a chaos of noise and the continuation of shaking, demanding my attention. Everything felt tuned out, dulled into the background. A lullaby could be heard among the noise.
I blinked, trying to grasp the reality as turned to face Vann again who was mumbling something and it took me a second to realize that it wasn't exactly a mumbling but rather yelling at my face, "Run Snow! Run away from here! As quickly as you can!"
And just like that the whatever the spell was broke. The panic settled in, the pressure in the air felt heavy and my heart started pounding faster, pumping the adrenaline into my blood as I staggered a few steps back trying to stabilize myself as I pondered upon the available options. Whaat could I do to help? How could I help?
One thing I could do was find the other TWPs and inform them of the situation. I felt their unmistakable energy somewhere a little deeper into the woods.
I gave fleeting glance over my shoulder to find Vann throw back two naked guys mid-air. I wanted to stay and help but then among these monstrous being, I would only prove to be a hindrance to Vann and Dylan.
I did the thing that seemed the most reasonable, following Vann's advice, getting the hell out of here and search for the other TWPs. Turning on my heels, I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. The instincts overpowering my sense of direction that led me into the woods. Away from the battlefield, there was shouting back there and abnormal noises that can probably not be head in the modern warfare or battles.
Who were these people? Or rather I should be asking what were they? Were they the Thor kind of alien creatures or Dracula type of mythical creatures?
Whatever they were, they definitely weren't human...
But at the moment, I had to focus, concentrate towards the direction from where the energy flowed and navigate there.
The pressure increased, I was getting closer.
Then I sensed it, another energy coming from behind, it wasn't Vann or Dylan for sure, for it was alien to me. They were on my trail, did I fail Vann and Dylan?
My heart dropped at the thought, as I looked over my shoulder to find about five of them, just a handful compared to the group that had initially appeared. But I was still outnumbered against the five supernatural beings that could raise water walls!
My heart quickened as I fastened my pace. My breathing ragged.
With all the thoughts and fears that were clouding my head, it was difficult to think clearly. The anxiety of what might have been happening back there, worry for the safety of my classmates. Also the fear of not making it to my destination.
I don't know what I was doing but I feared, for all of us.
The sounds of leaves and branches ruffling above reached my ears. There were in the trees! I jumped over the fallen bark and ducked instinctively when something swooshed down. The path didn't seem to end, though I felt the pressure increasing and the energy drawing closer, the mixing of the alien energy from the strangers overwhelmed me, started to suffocate and scare me. My stamina was not going to last very long. I could feel my energy drain and the lack of oxygen made my muscles protest from all the activity they had been exposed to after a long time.
It was a miracle that my legs had not given up on me yet. Sweat dribbled down in streams.
It was like I had been in a shower but a bit on the stinkier side. If these guys were superhuman, I so badly hoped that they had hyperosmia, at least the sweat could be repulsive to them. A chance for me to survive.
And when all the hope was lost, came the view of rigidly standing TWPs that was defensively as they watched in my direction like hawks.
West who was standing the closest hissed, his eyes glowing green as his pupil elongated like a cat's and his canines extended slightly in warning. Simultaneously, Orwell and Kai behind him mirrored their inhumane forms. My heart stopped for a second as the fear crawled over my spine. But the warning given from the TWPs was still a little dull in comparison to the imminent danger that could cost my life that was chasing after me. So I pushed myself further, inspite of my legs shaking and freezing for a second.
"Help!" I cried out, panting and falling forward on all my four limbs to support myself. My mouth was dry and my throat ached.
"Vann and Dylan," I sucked in a ragged breath through my dry throat before croaking out, "fighting their companions," I gave another pause taking in another hungry breath before completing, "by school, they need you.
The confusion and alertness flashed through their eyes as they registered my words. Their defensive position had slacked a bit only to go back to their guards.
The crazy rustling of bushes attracted the attention of everyone as I turned to look over my shoulder to find a naked guy pounce towards me with all that glory and elongated canines and glowing yellow eyes.
Looks like I might have to book another trip to the hospital. Perhaps a longer one this time...
