Evan's Pov:

I feel bad for walking out like that but I couldn't let Drake out not in front of her not yet. I know he wouldn't hurt her but he would scare her we may not be under a spell anymore but ever since that day Drake and I aren't the same anymore. Once our anger takes control we want to tear the target of our anger to pieces. Currently, I'm heading for Ace's territory I know it's a bad idea and I'm breaking some rules but Drake and I can't stop now.

"Damn right he hurt what's ours he hurt her", Drake growls in my head. "I know that and I agree but you know they're gonna try and stop us right and most likely it'll be him coming", I say back. "Yeah and your point is", He says as we get tackled to the ground.

"Really now Evan I thought we agreed that you two would let me and Max handle this", We hear Brent say as get back up growling. "Drake change back so we can talk civilly", He orders us as we continue snarling at him. "Do really you both really wanna do this you remember what happened last time you two lost control and we fought need I remind you of the outcome should we go down this road again you won't be at your mate's house you'll be in the hospital and she''ll be sitting beside your bed worried is that what the two of you want?", he asks as we lunge forward not even coming close to getting a hold of him.

"Last chance think about how worried she must be I don't want to hurt either of you but I will if it gets you both to calm down now stop this foolishness so you can get back to Sara she needs you right now", He hisses not playing anymore. After some thought, we decide he is right though we still want to rip Trey to pieces we can wait. "Good now explain what happened", He says clearly annoyed by what happened. " The anger and the hate just built up and became too much thinking about what he tried to do to is bad enough but now it's worse since she is our mate", I tell him making him sigh. "I know I would feel the same if it was my Elaine I would want to let the demon in me loose and torture him to my heart's content his screams would be music to my ears", Brent says so casually sending a shiver down my spine I had forgotten how sadistic he can be.

" However no matter how much you want to you can't cross the border even being in the Royal Pack and one of the king's aids does not grant you that right our job is here and until we get permission none of us can cross", He says and I frown knowing he's right. "Also the Trey thing isn't the only thing bothering you is it". He asks catching me off guard. "You think she's going to reject you when you tell her about your past", Brent says sometimes I hate how much he knows me. " I don't think I know she will what girl is gonna wanna stay with someone as messed as me", I tell him. "You my friend need to have a little faith in your mate and trust her like I did Elaine unlike you I was not under a spell when I did the things I did I am the definition of what nightmares are made of but did Elaine reject me no she accepted me and the evil that dwells within me and I trust yours will do the same", He tells me giving me and Drake hope.

"How is it you can go from sadistic to inspirational in a matter of seconds", I ask him amused. "It's a gift now let's get back I bet that friend of yours is saying something embarrassing.", he says walking away. "Knowing him you're probably right this is Max", I tell him hoping Max hasn't said anything too embarrassing about me. The rest of the walk back is silent as Brent leaves me with my own thoughts I know he's right we just have to trust her I think to myself as I see her house come into sight.

"Hey sorry about walking out like that Drake can be a bit hard to handle sometimes and we didn't wanna scare you", I apologize to her feeling guilty about just walking out like that. "Don't be it's fine and I know you won't hurt me", She says making me smile slightly. "My dad wants to see you guys in his office", Sara says looking over at Max and Brent. "Alrighty then guess that's our cue to leave then talk to you later and congrats you two", Max says heading for the door. "Yes congratulations I know you both will be happy together", Brent says getting that knowing look on his face that tells me he saw my future. "Thanks, guys we'll talk later keep updated on what's happening", I tell them following them to the door.

"What would you like to do now", I ask her walking back over after Brent and Max leave. "How about a movie", She says I nod in response giving her a small smile just happy to be spending time with her. "We only just found her and you're already whipped", I hear Drake snicker. "Yeah laugh it up wolf your just as whipped as me", I tell him before cutting our link not wanting to hear him right now. "Everything okay", Sara asks looking up at me and I realize we're on the couch and she started the movie. "Yeah sorry I was talking to Drake he was being slightly annoying", I tell her. "Yeah Caroline can be that way sometimes too but I honestly don't know what I'd do if she wasn't with me", She says smiling.

About halfway through the movie Sara had scooted over closer to me and was leaning into me and burying her face into my shoulder. "Why did I choose this movie", she says hiding her face in my shoulder I'm not gonna complain and I wish she would stay close to me but I know she's scared. "We can watch something different if you want it don't have to be scary", I tell her turning and wrapping my arms around her. "I think that's best", she says blushing slightly as I continue to hold her. "Oh crap", She jumps getting even closer to me as a lady in a maid costume appears on-screen terrifying her. "Okay enough of this I'm changing it", I say grabbing the remote and hitting the back button. "Really the conjuring are you trying to have nightmares", I ask her looking at shaking form pulling her closer.

"I'm sorry I didn't know what you liked", she says looking sad. "Hey it's fine I'm not mad I just don't want you to be scared and honestly as long as your next to me it doesn't matter what we watch", I tell her hugging her before giving her back the remote. "You sure what if it's a chick flick", she says looking over at me searching my eyes for doubt. "As I said as long as your there I don't care", I tell her making her smile. "Good but you should I rarely watch chick flicks how about fast and furious", she says and I get slightly excited. "Which one", I ask her hoping she says what I'm thinking. "The first one", she says clicking on it and I can't contain my smile as she scoots back into me snuggling into my side.

"Why the huge smile", she asks looking up at me with a smile of her own. "Well not only am I watching one of my favorite movies but I got my beautiful mate next to me I tell her making her smile grow as we continue to watch the movie. After a while, I feel her breathing even out and look down to see her asleep I grab the remote and turn the tv down. I hear the front door open and pull her closer careful not to wake her while staying on alert.

"Calm down it's only me", I hear Alpha Reynolds say walking into where we are making me relax. "Sorry Sir with everything that's happened", I start to apologize but Alpha Reynolds cuts me off. "No need to apologize it's nice knowing my daughter is in capable hands", He says with a smile. " Why don't you take her to her room I'm sure your just as tired as she is," He says making me nod knowing he's right. "Oh and Evan no more I appreciate and understand you wanting to rip Trey's head off for what he's done but no more trying to cross borders", He says before walking out of the room.

I lay her down carefully on her bed and walk over to my bags and grab a pair of my basketball shorts and head for the bathroom. I do my business and change quickly anxious to back to her. I climb on the bed careful not to wake her. I pull the covers over both of us I feel Sara shifting next to me laying her head on my chest I wrap my arms around her as she snuggles into me. "Please don't ever leave me", she mumbles before going back to sleep. "I'll never leave I promise", I tell her kissing the top of her head before closing my eyes remembering what Brent told me.
