The following day, Arya woke up much earlier than usual. She had a meeting with her father’s employees and staff members before she was shown to her office and what she was supposed to do. She woke up at around six and then started preparing. She had not made it to meet with her friend, Hayley, the previous day because she was so very tired the previous day after the encounter with Nelson and the shopping spree with Maya.

“Wow, I can’t believe that this day has finally come. You were just a little girl the other day and look at you now, all grown up and ready to take your father’s steps, I am proud of you baby." Ruth said to her daughter that morning. After she stepped into the dining room looking all beautiful in cream official pants, black heels, a brown trench coat in her hands and a baby pink designer bag, she looked like the boss of the hose, very dashing and decent.

“Mom, it is just the pants and thank you, you look beautiful today too mom, are you headed somewhere?” s

She asked as she pulled a chair next to her mother and sat down at the table and her mom just smiled.

“Apart from taking you to the office today, I have a meeting with my fellow business associates and then I will be back home. There is a project I am currently working on and I have to finish it before the start of next month.”

“Oh, and where is dad? I have not seen him here and the way he wakes up so early in the morning?”

“Oh, he will be down here at any minute. He was on an important call when in the room." She said, and before Arya could respond, her father walked right in. He was in a navy-blue three-piece suit with a golden tie and shoes that matched. If there was anyone in that house that loved fashion, it was her father. He was always into those latest designer suits, three-piece suits and all types of designer shoes in his closet.

“I heard my name being mentioned, ooh look at you, you look dashing honey, are you ready for the big awaited day?” He asked as he sat opposite to his wife.

“You look good yourself, dad, and yes, I am more than ready for this day. I was just waiting for you.”

“I can see that I was on some important call with some of my business associates concerning the club. He wants to buy it from me but I don’t want to sell it so he was just calling to ask.”

“What club?” Arya asked. She was not aware that her father owned a club in town. Her father was a billionaire and he owned several businesses in town, some of which his own wife did not know about.

“Oh shoot, I never told you about this but I bought this club about four years ago. I actually bought it on your 20th birthday. I had yet to tell you, but now you know.”

“You and clubs don’t belong in the same sentence, but now I think maybe I was wrong about that.” She said, and her father just smiled.

“Yes, I am not always into clubs, but trust me, this business is good, it is making me a lot of money, and I cannot even think of selling it. I would be doomed. Anyway, I already talked to my PA to prepare your office on top of mine. You are now the CEO, but I will be helping you run the company until I am sure you are on foot to run the company even in my absence.”

“Dad, trust me, I won’t fail you, I am going to work extra hard like I have always been. I won’t let you down.”

“I know Arya and your mom and I are proud of you. I know you won’t fail us, so as I was saying, your office is prepared, just like you love it, at the top of the building and with a geta serene, I hope you will like it.”

“Of course, dad, I have always wanted that but I still have a request?”

“Okay, go ahead, tell me what it is about?”

“Can I get to employ my own staff? I don’t think I will need a PA now. I can manage on my own.” She said,

“You see, honey, you will get to that once you know them. For now, let us focus on making you understand how everything works, and by the way, before I forget, your grandma will be coming today.”

“Wow rally, I have missed her so much, I can’t wait to see her today. At what time will she be coming home and for how long will she be staying?”

“Long enough, she said she wanted to be here for you, it has been long since she last saw you.”

“I am happy dad, for real, I have missed her too and I cannot wait to see her again.”

“Well, she will be here tonight, but for now, we have to rush to the company and see how the day goes. I am told that the media is already there and I don’t know if you are ready to handle the media yet. You know this life is going to be full of media people and I don’t know if you will get used to it but the world wants to know what is going on in Whitlock Home smart Realty LLC company.”

“I am a bit nervous but trust me, I will do it, I will know how to handle it. I have handed it once and I don’t think I won’t be able to, so dad, I will be okay, you don’t have to worry about me, we can get going by the way, I don’t want to be late on my first day at the office.” She said and her laughed as they stood up and walked outside, the car was waiting for them outside.

They were driven to the company premises by their family chauffer. True to Danson’s words, the media personalities were already there. As Arya got out of the car, she was welcomed by the numerous flashes of the cameras. She took a deep breath and was led into the building by one of her father’s bodyguards.

“Hello Mr. Danson, we have heard the rumors about you stepping down for your daughter to take over after you. Is that true?”

“Yes, I know the rumors have been running around, but now let me make everything clear. Arya Scarlet Whitlock here is my daughter and my only child, so she will be taking over the company after me and, as a matter of fact, she will be starting to work today, and for the first time, I am letting the world know that she, Arya Scarlett Whitlock, is my daughter and the only heir to my company.”

“There is speculation that this company was funded years ago for it to be where it is right now and you had to make a sacrifice. Do you mind telling us if the speculation is true and if so, what did you sacrifice?”

“I will choose not to talk about that because these rumors aren’t true. My wife and I and I have plans for your company and it has been successful because of our hard work and we are hoping my daughter will lead it the right way. I just want the world to know that she is my daughter and she will be taking over everything. Arya is welcome to the Whitlock Home smart Realty LLC company." He said as he hugged his daughter and the cameras clicked.

“How do you feel about all of this change? You finishing your degree and coming back home to take over this big task of leading this well-known company?" One of the journalists asked the question to Arya and it got her by surprise asked just like she had said, she was ready for anything and in the field that she into just walked herself in, she just had to start getting used to it, because that was the life of a celebrity

“I am actually okay, thanks for asking. I had always known that this time was bound to come and I was ready for anything. I am ready to take this company far from here, so expect more from me this time round.” She said with a smile.

“I think those are the only questions that we are going to take for today. Thank you for the questions. I think we will take our leave now.” He said, and took his daughter and his wife into the building, once they were into the building and into the VIP elevators.

“Dad, what was that question about, the question about someone funding the company and you guys having to sacrifice something?” Arya asked and her mother decided to talk her out of it.

“Honey, just like your father said, that is all about nothing we sacrifice. We all have ups and downs in the company and, you know, we always work extra hard, there is nothing to worry about, the media is always looking for something to be jesting about, they always want those rumors. So expect more from them and you should be ready for anything.”

“Okay mom, I get it, I hope I will be able to manage it though.”

“You will be able to do anything honey, I trust and believe in you. Now welcome to the company and to the family we have been working with for the past thirty years, welcome to the family." Ruth said as the elevator dinged and they walked into the company hall. Every staff and employee was there waiting for them and, the moment they walked in, they all stood up in sign of respect.
