“Malena please, leave this to us.” Gage pleads as we walk in the forest.
“This is it. This is where it happened!” I say kneeling down and looking at the ground.
All the warriors that Gage brought, scatter around, looking for clues.
“Malena, just go back to the packhouse, I’ll handle this.”
I ignore him and continue to look around.
“Here!” One of the warriors says. “Noel’s blood is here.”
We rush to him and look around.
“They went this way.” Gage says looking at the ground.
We start walking but Gage turns to me and I know he is going to tell me to go back but he doesn’t get to. We hear a howl come from deep in the forest.
“Who is that?” Vera asks.
“Not ours.” Max says and takes his phone out. He alerts the packhouse.
