Dimitri's hands began to shake, his jaw clenched tight as he was breathing in and out of his nose with great force. I hopped off of bed and rushed over to his side. Unsure of how I could comfort him, I placed my hand on his shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze to let him know I was there with him. He looks unfazed, as if he doesn't even register that I am touching him.
"What do you mean? He can't just be gone."
Dimitri practically spat the words out. He was so mad, with each word he managed to get out. His anger only seemed to rise.
"That's exactly what I mean. Approximately two hours ago, the king left the kingdom with every knight or warrior he could fine willing to go with him and took off. I was only notified about this ten minutes ago."
