I arrived home to find Dale in the kitchen dealing with the load of washing I had out on before I went out and Abi standing at her toy kitchen in the corner, the pair happily chatting back and forth. Dale correcting her every so often with her pronunciation, it was the cutest sight.
“Hey” I said as I took of my jacket and hung it over the back of the chair.
“Mummy” Abi said and walked over to me. I picked her up and hugged her as she kissed my cheek.
“Hey baby” Dale said coming over and hugging us both. “how did it go with Chris?” he asked.
“Good, he starts Monday, Tony going to train him up and I will pop in and see how he is doing. He seems a really nice guy. How did I not know he was Calum’s half-brother” I said to Dale as he handed me a coffee.
