CHAPTER 30
SAIRAH
Devlin left early this morning.
He refused my offer to send him off, saying it was too early and I must go back to sleep.
We had little sleep, but that was the same as always. Hoping in a way that I could satisfy his strong sensual need and much as he did satisfy mine. Our moments were always pure bliss, not forced, not too demanding--just an equal desire to satisfy our yearning.
Despite his encouragement to continue my sleep when he took his shower, I jumped off the bed and prepared his clothes. I also let him eat toast bread with jam, egg Benedict and coffee before leaving. It was too early for a heavy breakfast, but he didn’t turn down the simple meal I had prepared.
