Sophia’s POV
“f**k!” I screeched, pacing around my room in my wedding dress, and checking my phone. I had forgotten to get the man’s number. I was so excited about the revenge that I had not gotten his number, his business card, or his name.
What the f**k is wrong with me?
Why would I do this to myself?
While pacing the room, the door yanked open and my mother walked in angrily. The frown on her face was enough to last a year but I swallowed and stood there in my wedding dress, forcing a smile on my face while my hands were trembling and beads of sweat were plastering on my forehead, ruining my makeup.
“Mother,” I chimed.
“Save it!” She yelled, storming into the room, gnashing her teeth together. She halted in front of me and took a deep breath and tears filled her eyes.
“Honey, I know you are hurting but love, you don’t have to do this, I don’t even know who this man is and you won’t even show me what he looks like or even give me his name or something, baby, if you are doing this out of impulse, you don’t have to.” She muffled, holding my hands, fighting the tears in her eyes.
“Mum, I am fine and you don’t have to worry, I am getting married to a decent man and if we leave now I am sure we will meet him waiting at the church, I know you are worried about me but I promise you, this is not an act of impulse, so if you will please go with me to the church,” I comforted her but deep inside my heart, I wasn’t even sure if he would show up at the church.
Hell, I don’t even know his name or number.

“Where the hell is he?” Alicia asked with a frown as she walked in, in her blue floral fitted dress and my bouquet, while scanning the hall for my groom who I have no idea where he was.
“He’ll come,” I said to her with a forced smile as I kept looking at the door, wishing and hoping every being that walked through the door was in but they weren’t.
Did he play me for a fool?
Did he lie to me about not being married just to get my hopes up and then leave me hanging?
Would I be humiliated before my family again?
One hour passed and he wasn’t there.
“That’s it, we are leaving!” My mother yelled, rushing to me on the alter, she grabbed my hand and began pulling me out of the church.
“Mum. Please, don’t do this, he will be here.” I cried out as she dragged me but her grip on me was tight, without letting go.
Just before we got to the door, it creaked open and the sun shone through and a tall charismatic man walked in, in a black tuxedo. His face looked sharp, and his grey eyes squinted through his full lashes. His full beard was neatly trimmed. He was looking sharp and proper.
My groom had arrived.
“Sophia,” My name as he adjusted his cufflinks.
I jerked my mother’s hands off mine and frowned at him, “You’re late,” I scolded.
“I’m sorry, it’s my second wedding but it’s going to be my last, I had to make sure I had taken care of every complication that might arrive and you didn’t give me enough time to prepare and I didn’t get your number, I would have called but I am here now. Let’s get married, shall we,” He said nonchalantly yet with so much affection if I wasn’t mistaken.
He reached for my hand with a smile and then slowly bowed to my mother even though they might be the same age or older.
My mum turned to me in awe but I looked away and went with my future husband. We walked to the altar, stood before the priest, and then he asked the questions.
“Do you.
I turned to the man on my right and smiled “I do.” I answered.
“Do you …
Without looking at me, without allowing the priest to finish every word in his mouth, he muttered, “I do.”
And there you have it, We are married.
“I hosted a little party, what is a wedding without a party, princess,” he chuckled and winked at me.
I turned to Alicia and my mother and I nodded, “A party won’t hurt.” I replied and we all left the church, heading to the big venue that he had planned.
Flowers everywhere, huge bouquets, expensive wine placed on every table with a fancy wine glass. And up in the front was a huge chair for the couples, for me and this handsome man standing next to me.
“Well then, welcome to the reception party of our wedding, Princess, I was going to do more because you deserve more but I hope this will do,” he muffled, a little apologetic that, that was the little he could do but it was perfect, maybe not as big as my reception party for my wedding with Benjamin but this was more than enough.
I tried to fight back the tears in my eyes, I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tight, he smelled nice, “Thank you,” I cried into his arms and his wide palm spread across my back and he patted me.
“There is a dressing room by the north, you should go dress, I got you a dress, you’ll love it.” He said to me and I nodded and smiled.
Alicia and I excused ourselves and went into the room which was decorated as well, on the rack was a dress covered in white nylon. Alicia walked closer and tore it off, revealing a beautiful green dress. Elegant to every piece of it. It was beautiful, perfect, and exactly my size.
How on earth did he get my size so perfectly?
“Sophia, you know that I am always in support of everything you do right?” Alicia asked me and I nodded while she helped me adjust my dress.
“This man, do you trust him? I mean you know nothing about him, you didn’t even know his name until the priest mentioned it earlier and I know you tried to fool me but I knew you didn’t have his contact number when we were waiting at the church and now he gets you a dress that fits you perfect and a beautiful version of your dream wedding, something is sus,” she muttered
I exhaled, “Alicia, do I look like I trust him?” I frowned.
“So why are you getting married to him?” She asked
“I love Benjamin and he lied to me, cheated on me, betrayed me, and humiliated me, Alicia, I can’t just let that slide, can I?” I forced a smirk as the memories flashed through my mind, I clenched my fist to my dress as a dead look plastered over my face.
“Are you doing what I think you are doing? Is this marriage for revenge?” She asked in awe.
“Shh.” I placed my hands on my lips and stepped out of the room, returning to the main event.
The drinking and partying continued until a scent filled my nostrils. There was no way in history I wouldn’t know who it was.
Benjamin.
What the f**k is Benjamin doing at my wedding.
“So I guess I am not the only cheat, Sophy,” he grunted behind me. I tried not to turn around but if I needed this revenge to work, I needed to be bold enough to face him, so I did.
I smiled and rolled my eyes, “what are you doing here?” I asked him.
He laughed, “Attending the wedding of my ex-fiancé,” he giggled.
“You lousy cheater! Leave at once!” Alicia sneered at him but he ignored her and began looking around.
“Where is the man you cheated with? Where is he hiding his face?” He laughed hysterically as he trashed some of the flowers in sight angrily.
“Ben, stop this nonsense at once!” My mother yelled at him but he glared at her.
His teeth gnashed, “Your daughter is a w***e, she was sleeping with another man while she was going to get married to me, and now she is fooling the other man into marriage, Shouldn’t you be ashamed of yourself, of her? Or did she take after you? w***e ?” He blurted.
I got closer to him and slapped him hard across the face, “I can take any insult you throw at me but stay, don't you dare say s**t to my mother!” I snarled.
“Or what!” He yelled, closing the gap between us, and pushing me back.
“What the hell is going on here!” I heard Eiden, my new husband’s voice echo through the environment.
I jolted and ran into his arms. Benjamin turned his back to us and Eiden wasn’t having it.
“Who the hell do you think you are, coming to ruin my wedding and scaring my wife?” He grunted.
Benjamin chuckled, “I am her ex-fiancé, and who the f**k are…
Benjamin was cut short when he turned around and saw the man behind him, the man I had married.
The horror on his face, the disbelief in his eye, “what the f**k?” He blurted.
“Dad?” He called out.
What?
