Chapter 5
Sophia’s pov
I stood there frozen, my mouth gaped open unable to believe what i just heard, how could it be? Eiden the father of my ex-fiance? What sort of coincidence is this?
“What’s going on?” I questioned Eiden.
“Care to explain this? my mom whispered beside me but I was in sheer horror as she was, I had finally decided to do away with this family and yet here I was wntangled with him, why was my life getting worse?
“How could you stoop this low to actually marry my ex?” He scoffed at his father, betrayal evident in his gaze.
“What are you doing here? Are you that curious that you thought I was going to embarrass myself?” I scorned, staringnbat him in disgust.
“Well you certainly have embarrassed yourself because you decided to entangle your self with this hypocrite of a father.” Ben scoffed. “You’re very classless and put your self low, that’s why I can’t be with someone like you. The audience were continuously baffled and never failed to show their surprised faces while they continued to whisper among each other.
“Sophia you had better start explaining what the hellnis happening.” My mother voice whispered beside me, I too was speechless and still confused, I couldn’t explain what was happening, Turning to to Eiden I waited for him to say something to help me putbof this mess he had put me in.
If Ben is his son then he must have known me to begin with, he was never a stranger and knew me well enough so why had he agreed to this marriage with me? I never knew or even seen Ben’s father until today.
“I have no idea mom.” I stuttered, refusing to gaze at her, shame spreading through my body as my gaze dropped to the floor.
“What’s going on?” I questioned Eiden who seemed surprised to see his son but regained his composure.
“You weren’t man up enough to actually handle a woman like her, she deserves better.” Eiden said to his son.
“And you’re better?” Ben cackled bit stopped mid way and turns to me. “She settled for less, she settled for a man who left his wife and son, she’ll face it two.”
I gulped, this marriage wasn’t set to last long, I only wanted to prove Ben wrong, to show him that I wasn’t some pushover he could embarrass publicly, I had had enough.
“How did you two even get together?” He shook his head. “Did she suck your c**k and beg you to become her husband? Were you both in a relationship while I was courting her?” Ben continued, this was getting more humiliating for me, I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Shut it you piece of trash! Don’t you dare talk about me in such a manner!” I warned him. “You were the one cheating on me and I had to suck it in just to preorder your reputation— my reputation!” This was turning into a huge scandal and I knew for a fact that most of the hate was going to come to me. Society expects me to be a silent b***h and hide myself like a total wimp but I didn’t care, if I was being dragged down, I’ll be sure to drag him down with me.
“How then do you explain what you’re doing with my father?” He shot back, Zara curled her hand on his arm with a worried expression that was definitely for show, I knew her to well to know she was nothing but a cunning woman.
“That isn’t for you to know, I have nothing to do with you so get the hell out of here!” I was infuriated, my head banging and wanted this over with. “And that that slut with you as well.”
“Slut? You’re the perfect definition, at least she doesn’t pass herself around family.” He smirked, seeing the pain in my eyes, I flicks the bridge of my nose, a habit of mine when I’m nervous and need to think of a way out. Turningnti Eidenni wanted to say something but he began to speak.
“I have the right to be with whom I want, I’m not married to your mother as we are divorced, she’s single and we both had no idea about the relation connecting us, there you have it.” Eiden blurteenput for all to hear, Ben on the other hand didn’t seem to like his words.
“Lies! Care to tell them why my mother left you?”
“If you so much want to know then you will, your mother is a lying wench that needs to get her life together without bringing someone down.” Eiden responded harshly watching Ben clench his jaw in anger but didn’t dare act rashly, unlike his father’s huge and intimidating appearance he was a little scrawny, now that I looked at him I wondered how I had fallen in love with him.
“Now I know why she hate you! You’re nothing but a dog!” Ben hissed.
“Why are you so bent on ruining my big day? I suggest you fond your way out or the security can help you out since you’re bad at doing anything.” I pointed to the exit of the hall but that only triggered him, he stormed towards me, raising his fist in an attempt to hit me, shutting my eyes be shielding myself with my arm as I waited for the impact but there was nothing, I slowly opened my eyes wondering why he had hesitated, had he finally come to his sense and figured out that we were in public and nothing within the walls of our house?
That wasn’t it.
“Oh my! What sort of family drama is happening.” A guest asked his Pete’s to her friend standing beside her.
“It’s certainly interesting as though it was a movie or is this something they planned?” Her firiend showered back.
Turning to Ben I gasped in shock, seeing Eiden firmly holding his hand and staring at him with a death gaze as though he was going to devour him.
“Don’t you dare raise your jeans on my wife.” Eiden growled warning.
Wife? After this?
