Flare
“Why did you have to come back and ruin everything?!” She growls. I sigh, trying to ignore the poison in her voice. She killed me once. I’m not going to allow her to spread her poison a second time.
“I didn’t ask for any of this, April.” I sigh but when I try to push past her, she doesn’t move. “April, let me go.” I sigh.
“I don’t understand. You never wanted him. Why is he still hung up on you?” I hear the pain in her voice and I frown.
“April, he is your destined mate. You should know that. I haven’t seen him in over two years. I don’t know and, honestly, I don’t care. Now let me go, or I will scream.” I glare at her and see a spark in her eyes. I recognize it instantly.
It’s the same one that was in her eyes right before she gave me the poison. I instantly take a step back, a
