“Hey.”
The tall man in a dark blue jacket, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, holding a bottle of beer, approached me. There was a friendly smile floating over his lips, that smile that can warm anyone’s heart when they see it.
“Is this seat taken?” Because of the loud music, he needed to crouch down for me to hear him. Umiling ako at nakangiti itong umupo sa tabi ko.
If it wasn’t because of his smile or his dark orbs defeating all the noises around us, or the way he made sure to leave a space between us, or the way he looked at me with dignity just like how a decent man does, I wouldn’t have let him sit beside me.
“I’m Vince.”
