Chapter 34While Edeltraud was off having lunch with Franz, Katharina and I decided to take a walk around the nineteen-acre Hundekehlsee. The natural lake extended in a north-south direction and was near several other small lakes in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf area. Even though it was early fall, the leaves were already turning a panoply of orange, yellow, and red. A light musty aroma filled the air as we tramped over the dank hiking trail.
