Chapter 9

After what happened in his room, Simeone watched the border, since he had nothing to do and, besides, Valene would just bug him to death. She was just going to insist that it was time and they should have mated and he should mark her as his new mate, but Simeone himself didn't understand why his wolf was against the idea of marking Valene as their mate.

His wolf became disobedient to him when their mate died. He was so uncontrollable that even he couldn't tame him sometimes. Simeone didn't know what to do anymore, his pack was relying on him to give them their next Alpha, but here he was.

Valene was fuming mad as she didn't see Simeone in his house when she went there early this morning. Last night, it surprised her when his c**k didn't even stir a bit when she held it. But she is confident enough that she will be the next Luna and whoever ruins her plan will suffer just like how Selenesee suffers in her own hands.

Simeone is now on their border. He did not mind Valene going into his house --- just like she always does. He, himself, does not know why he is acting like that towards her.

Only his wolf could answer him, but what could he do? His wolf is still not obeying him and he is having a hard time taming his wolf.

I can't stop myself. I am still pacing back and forth, but my eyes were focused on the woman in the bed--- lying unconscious.

As the continuous questions pop into my mind, I remember what I have seen earlier. Who is the red-headed woman? Oh, I must be mistaken in calling the woman red-headed because the woman's hair is as red as fire.

A lot of questions that I can't wait to be answered, but I guess that the woman still needs to rest. I can't stop myself from pitying the woman.

I wasn't able to meet her gaze, but her body says everything. I just hope that it was not the woman's mate who did that to her. Because if he does, he is a useless mate.

How can he hate as beautiful as her? She looks so innocent. I want to stop myself from praising the woman as I know that I have a fiance.

My parents had someone they chose for me to marry, but I still don't know who it was, since I would meet her on the night of our wedding, which is odd since it had never happened even before. My mother and father were childhood friends, and even our grandfather was close to my mother's family.

All I knew was, that my fiancee would be extraordinary. I was an extraordinary vampire, and I was a crown prince, for Pete's sake. I deserved the best.

Selenesee woke up again, and she noticed it was already afternoon based on the sun that she saw near her window. She was wondering why most of her windows were closed.

She tried to remember what happened to her when she fainted, and then she realized she was not in their home, and there was a man who had come inside her room a while ago, which made her faint.

And not just that, she was hearing some unfamiliar voice inside her that she still didn't recognize. Who? She just knew about Demetria as she had already introduced herself as her she-wolf, but the other one was new. Although she had been hearing some voices before, she was not one of them, but she could feel a strong connection with that voice.

Meanwhile,

Queen Silviania was now inside their room. She was wondering why her son acted so worried when they summoned him, and besides these past few days, she was not at ease since she could smell something. It was not the scent of their enemies, but rather that it smelled something she had never smelt before. She wondered if her husband also smelled it.

Silviania knew that the scent she could smell had some connection to why her son was acting weird. Even some of their servants were also acting like their sons. The other day, she noticed some servants going to some room which was near to her son's room, which was odd since no one occupied that room and, besides, that room was supposed to be for their guests if only she didn't go to take a stroll at the west wing palace she would've not noticed it, she tried to read their mind, but knowing her son, he had already done something to their servants just to keep what he was hiding.

She was about to go to her window when she heard a knock.

"Come in." She said as she commanded the person to come inside her room.

"My Queen, the king is now waiting for you."The servant said as he bowed his head to pay respect to her.

The queen just nodded, and he escorted her on her way to the main dining hall. Her husband can be very protective of them since he doesn't know if something might happen to her again.

The way from their room to the dining room was very far since the place was not just a typical palace, it was huge, and that's why most of the time they couldn't see each other.

Everyone who sees the queen was mesmerized by her beauty. She had some kids, but they just looked like siblings. Since vampires don't age fast, the entire kingdom loved the story of their king and queen. They knew how they loved each other, as every person in the kingdom had witnessed it themselves, and also it was the first time that the king didn't have some mistresses or any concubines. The harem was even empty since, according to King Armund, he was too in love with his wife to find someone to bed, and besides, he had already changed their law. Now it's up to them whether they will have many wives or just stay with having a wife. Also, the King did not fall in love with the Queen just because of her outside beauty but of her inside beauty too. The Queen is kind and humble to every servant. And that made him love her more.
