“So, I think we are going for this family dinner, what do you think will happen or why did your father call for everyone at the family dinner?”

“I have no idea; I just want to go, get done with it and come back to my house that is not so much to ask right?”

“Of course, not so much to ask but you will be fine, why are you worried, is it about your mom and your sister’s scheme or what is about, which brings me to the question, did you talk to your dad about it or you still don’t want to involve him.” Klaus asked as they were in the back of the limo heading to Victor’s parents’ house.

“Yes we did talk about it and I am not worried about anything, what makes you think that I am worried, it is just a normal family dinner, nothing serious about it.”

“And then why did you invite me if you aren’t nervous and you want me there?”

“Because you are family and I want you there, what is there not to understand?”

“Everything.” He said and they both laughed, Klaus would always accompany Victor in family dinners and other functions because he always considered him family, their families had been family friends for long and ever since Victor was a kid, he was friends with Klaus and their friendship had been standing for so long, they would always do a lot of things together until they were all grown and old enough.

“Just shut up already and let us go to that dinner, I have a feeling my father wants to talk about something, he just doesn’t call for family dinners out of the blue but that is why we are heading there, to go and find out exactly why he called for the meeting.”

“Yeah sure.” Klaus replied and got busy on his phone, the drive did to take that long, after a few minutes the limo was parked outside the castle, his parents lived in a castle at least that was the only name that could describe what they had as a house, people with money will always own expensive things and the Roberts were no exception.

“Sir we are here.”

“Okay thank you Justin, man let us go in there and see what is in store for us.” Victor said as the two got out of the car and Andrew was standing at the entrance, when he saw his son walking towards him, he smiled and walked to meet him.

“I am glad you could make it, and you brought Klaus, hey man.”

“Hey Mr. Roberts, it is great to see you again, I will leave you two to talk, I will be inside.” He said and walked right into the house and left Victor and his dad talking outside.

“So how is everything dad?”

“Everything is fine son, I just thought we could have this family dinner, it has been a while since we held one, so there is nothing to worry about, how are you holding up, you know your sister is mad at you for what you did, is it true that you threw her out because you brought a girl over an underling?”

“I see she already told you what happened, there is no need for me to explain anything to you dad.”

“Yes there is, since when did you start hanging out with an underling son, that is not how this family works an you know it and throwing your sister out is not what I expected from you.”

“I guess that is because people change, that is my house and I think I am allowed to choose who stays in my house or not, I don’t think that is why you pulled me out to talk to me, is there something else?”

“Yes but right now, we are talking about this right now, who is that girl that you brought into your house?”

“She is no one you know and don’t worry she is gone, I wonder why y’all so much interested in knowing the girl and not knowing what really transpired, I was involved in a car accident and I hit her, I was just trying to help, I guess your daughter omitted that part when she was reporting to you huh?”

“That is not the case but I am glad you are okay son.”

“Yes I guess you are, I will be inside dad.” He said and walked into the house leaving his dad outside.

“Wow, look at who finally decided to show up, and look, he didn’t bring his girl over, is she so hurt that she couldn’t make it here or you just decided not to bring him over?” Raquel said when she saw Victor and since he didn’t want to talk to her, he just walked past her. “Hey man, I am talking to you.”

“I am not in the mood to talk to you Raquel; I am only here because of dad and not you.”

“Okay I get it, you threw me out and now you don’t want to talk to me, okay bad for you because I brought my boyfriend over, and I can see you brought your right hand man, Klaus, he is always with you huh?”

“Hey Raquel?” Klaus said when he heard his name being mentioned.

“Oh you were listening, so as I was saying, I brought my boyfriend over and I would like to introduce you two to him and please be nice.”

“Just like you were nice to Jasmine huh?’

“So her name is Jasmine, such a pretty name for an underling.”

“Whatever, where is your rich guy I would like to see him before we start off this family dinner or whatever.”

“You will see him soon, he is in the living room.” She said as she pointed over to where he was seated, Victor walked over to him and took his time to scrutinize him; he was not what he expected.

“So who are you?”

“Oh hi, my name is Leo Smith; it is nice to finally meet you Mr. Roberts.”

“So how did you meet my sister?”

“We met in England and I didn’t know we come from the same home town here in California.”

“Oh is that it? Where do you come from, I mean what about your family and all that, I would like to get to know about you, that is if you don’t mind.”

“Of course I don’t mind at all, I am from around here in town, I lost my parents in a car crash some few years back, so I am just here by myself, I have business here and in England that I own and I am taking care of.”

“Oh so you don’t have any other family member, is it just you alone by yourself?”

“Yes, it is me here by myself but I am glad I met Raquel, she had been like family to me and we vibe so well.”

“Okay Leo, you don’t have to answer any more of his questions, you are here for me and not him, come on baby, I said I would like to show you something, Victor, Klaus, I will see you in a bit.” She said and dragged him upstairs to her room and just then Margaret walked into the living room.”

“Oh I can see you made it; I never thought you would make it by the way.”

“I am here now mom, it is nice to see you too.”

“Klaus, it has be ages since I last saw you.”

“Oh hi Mrs. Roberts, Victor invited me; I hope that is not a problem.”

“No of course not, you are family and you are welcome here anytime, come on guys, the table is already set and it is just the two of you we are waiting, oh and your sister, come on we don’t want to miss this.” She said and the three walked to the dining are, the table was already set and Andrew was already seated, Victor sat next to Klaus and his mother sat across them, after a few minutes Raquel and Leo joined them at the table.

“So, how are each and every one of you, I know we haven’t had this family dinner for quite some time and that is why I decided to call all of you here.”

“Yes your father and I thought it would be best if we do it, and also a welcome back home dinner for Raquel and her boyfriend Leo.”

“Have you guys gotten the chance to know him, her boyfriend?”

“He has a name Victor and why does that matter?”

“It matters because you are always so much into my business and this once I also want you to feel the same way I do when you always in my business.”

“Hey guys, can you please stop, this is something we are doing to bring us together and not to criticize each other, le don’t mind the, just feel at home, that is all that matters, stop being childish and just enjoy this dinner that was prepared for the purpose of bringing the family together.”

“Yes, your mom is right let us just what we have at the moment and we can talk about this burning issues later, is that okay?” He questioned and they all agreed to it.

During desert, they were all seated around the table except for Klaus who had excused himself to pick up a phone call.

“Now that we are all call, I would like to welcome another member into our family, welcome and feel at home Leo.”

“Thank you Sir.”

“I don’t know but I feel like he is not telling us anything, his story doesn’t add up, I would like a background check on him since y’all so much into y business of whether I am with a na underling or not, he is an underling, I can see it in his eyes”

“Stop f*****g around Victor, this is my life not yours, so lease just stay the hell out of my life, Leo s the guy I have chosen and the guy I love, why does it bother you so much, when you haven’t even looked at a girls side, since Cindy’s death.”

“Don’t talk about Cindy and don’t you ever say her name again, so you and mom are allowed to come into my business and even threaten me about taking the company from me and you don’t want me knowing your business, who the hell do you think you are huh?”

“The rightful owner of the company Victor, you are a nobody and yes I am allowed to ask about your business and you have no right whatsoever to get into my business, I am the one who was supposed to take the companies and not you and you will watch me do it and there is nothing you will do about it, in case dad and mom didn’t tell you, you are just some child who was adopted while I am their flesh and blood.” Raquel said and turned slowly to look at his father as if asking for approval and the look on his father’s face said it all.

“Please tell me that is not true, dad, mom please say something.” He asked and they just gave him a blank stare. “So that is it and why I’m I the last one to know about this?”

“That is exact what I wanted to tell you before you rushed to the hospital, I have always wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how to do it, your mom and I didn’t know how to go about it, I am sorry that you have to found out about it this way.”

“You know what, f**k you, all of you I can’t believe this is why you called me here, I am leaving.” He said and pushed his chair back and then walked out of the house in a hurry, waked to his car and instructed Justin to drive him home.
