Kayden’s POV
My hand burned from where I had touched her. I could still feel those lingering tingles, and my heart ached when her teary face appeared in my memory.
“Ugh, such a nuisance,” I grumbled, running a hand through my hair.
Leticia is only a maid, and she was only doing her job, but the moment I saw her come out of my father’s bedroom, with that stupid smile on her face, I couldn’t help myself.
“f**k,” I cussed, because I shouldn’t be here in the first place. I had a meeting, I only wanted to see if my father was fine, but now that I’m angry, it is for the best if I leave.
I stepped out of the annex, but it didn’t take long before I saw a furious figure heading my way.
Cirrus? What the hell was he doing here? I had no business with him or his family.
