Jade’s pov: Upon reaching the pack house, I sought mom out at once, knocking on the door ever so slightly. I soon found her feeding Tyler the bottle. “Looks like someone’s missed you, darling,” she cooed softly, before lifting her gaze up and greeting me with a smile, “Hey, sweetheart.” “Hey, mom,” I hugged her and hugged my little boy in the process. Alex’s chuckles reached me from behind. I then didn’t waste a second to kiss Tyler on the forehead. Forehead kisses, as always, were meant to be kisses of protection. There was virtually nothing I wouldn’t do for my son, my family, and my pack… And even though I knew that my emotions might bring me to my knees one day, I just hoped the fall wouldn’t be too painful.
