[Jade] I left Mason's office and rushed back to my room angrily, I could not believe what I had heard. He was doing this on purpose, he was enjoying my anguish, just how crazy was that? I took a deep breath to calm myself and I decided that there was no need to get worked up over this, I would just pay him back in his own coin. "Jade." Mason rushed into the room. "I'm so sorry, I can explain." He tried to explain but I wasn't listening to him. Picking up an airpod, I pushed it into my ears and pretended to be listening to music. He sighed and when he saw that I wasn't responding to him, he went back downstairs. I removed the AirPods and frowned after he was gone, was he not even going to try harder? For the rest of the day, we stayed out of each other's way and I wasn't even surprised when he didn't come to bed at night but it hurt me really deeply. I cried myself to sleep again. Morning came and I was up as early as I was, nothing eventful happened at dinner and we were still not talking, nobody at the table commented on our behavior and I was glad that they were leaving us alone to figure things out ourselves. The pack wolves usually gathered every afternoon for training. I usually stayed with the pups at this time because the training was for both males and females but since Liya was still nursing her newborn, she wasn't allowed to train and so she stayed with the pups. I decided to go outside to watch the training, it wasn't the first time I was watching wolves go after each other but it would be the first time I would not cheer for the Alpha and I wanted to hit a nerve. I wore a really right gown that showed off my curves nicely and then I put on a pair of work boots, I applied some mascara and lipgloss and I also sprayed some perfume because I wanted to smell extra nice. Packing my hair into a hair bun so that my neck was exposed, I made my way to the training area. When I got there, my mother was there and so was Mason, Jay, and Sirius, two large wolves were in the middle of the arena and they were going at each other. Blood has stained the ground and their claws and teeth were dripping with blood from tearing and clawing at each other. The black wolf threw the grey wolf to the ground and the crowd cheered loudly, the grey wolf seemed too weak to get up so, after a countdown, the black wolf was pronounced the winner. "It's Mason's turn, he's fighting Sirius." My mother whispered and pulled me closer to her. My heart began to beat rapidly as his eyes met mine and his nose flared, he had probably caught my scent and his eyes flickered between blue and golden as he studied me for a while before he took his eyes off me. I felt cold and exposed after he took his eyes off me and I shivered a little. I watched Mason walk to the middle of the arena and growl loudly, next I watched him rip off his shirt and a gasp left my throat, My Alpha was jacked. I remember how I usually felt running my hands down his chest and washboard stomach, I gulped as he flexed his muscles in front of the crowd and I felt the familiar sensation pool in between my legs. His nose flared again as he took a sniff of something but his eyes did not look away from the arena, I watched the females swoon over his body and I couldn't help but feel jealous. He was smiling at them and he wasn't even looking at me. "Are you done entertaining the crowd, playboy?" Sirius entered the arena shirtless as well. "Come on old man, give me all you got," Mason smirked and within a split second, he shifted and landed on all fours with a heavy thud. Sirius wasted no time too and also shifted immediately, his wolf was brown and large but it was nothing compared to Mason's black wolf, I noticed that Mason wasn't in his full Alpha wolf form as he was not standing on twos. I was surprised at how big of a fight Sirius' wolf put up but then it hit me, Sirius was also a very powerful wolf and that was why he was the only one that could face off against the Alpha. Mason's wolf eventually pinned Sirius' wolf under him and the brown wolf tapped out. I turned to see my mother laughing and I wondered what was so funny to her. She just watched her mate get thrashed by his Alpha and she was laughing. "Are you not worried that he might get seriously injured?" I asked her but she just shook her head. "Of course not, Mason would never hurt him, it's just good old fashioned sport." She said, "Sirius always says that he will win but I always know that he will get his ass handed to him, we bet on the bed, he's sleeping on the couch tonight." She laughed. When Mason and Sirius changed back to their human form, I noticed that my mother was right, there wasn't any scratch on his body and Mason looked alright as well. Another set of wolves entered the arena after they left and the training continued. "You're still not talking to Mason?" Jay nudged me slightly with his elbow. "No, but this time I know what I'm doing," I told him and smirked. I was tired of watching the training and so I left there and went to join Liya at the nursery. At least here I got to watch harmless pups play with each other, not grown up wolves attacking each other. . . [Mason] I nearly lost control of my wolf when Jade walked into the arena, it had been a few days since I held her in my arms and my wolf was screaming at me and calling me stupid. He was hurt when his mate said she wasn't ready to have children but he got over it very quickly, there was nothing he could not forgive his mate for, my human side, however, was very stubborn and did not forgive so easily. I knew Jade was doing this intentionally because she barely came to watch the wolves training, she used perfume because she knew it would enhance her scent and she just had to wear that form hugging dress. Oh, how I missed running my hands down her hips and grabbing her a** cheeks, I watched as she sauntered away from the arena swaying her hips from side to side. Her a** bounced as she walked away and I wanted to blind every man that saw her walking away. I considered chasing after her and carrying her on my shoulders to the room, maybe spank her for a while before I buried myself deep inside her but before I could act on that, Sirius mind linked me that there was a problem and we had to discuss it in the office immediately. *** "What's going on?" I asked him immediately as we entered the office. The problem with the cult was being handled for now by the witches council so I hoped he wasn't going to tell me that we had a problem there. "The Blackners were attacked, we have to go immediately." He said. "The Blackners, how, why?" I asked in shock, the Blackners were his family side that were witches and they had become very dear to me when we visited them and they had helped us a lot in the past. "I don't know, Zefa gave me a necklace, she said it will glow if they needed help, and it's glowing." He said hurriedly. "How do we get there?" I asked him. "Jade could come with us, she's a witch, she's bound to know something and be able to help." "Sure, I'll mind link her immediately," I told him. Jade ignored my mind link at first but when I mentioned Zefa, she responded immediately. "She said to meet her in the garden," I told Sirius and we exited the office immediately. On our way to the garden, I mind linked the warriors to tighten security, and I also mind linked Liya to inform her of what was going on. "What happened?" Jade asked Sirius still ignoring me when we got to the garden. "This necklace." He said bringing out a red stone connected to a string, it reminded me of my family necklace which represented the lack, it was a blue stone and it also glowed. "Zefa told me that it would glow if they were in trouble and it would lead us to them." He added. "Okay, I think we should go to her house, to check things out first," I said and they agreed. Her house was locked with magic when we got there but Jade was able to open it, we didn't find her there and we saw the house in perfect condition. "Now what?" Sirius asked as we looked around. "Jade will have to take us to the land of darkness," I said. "I've only been to the circle, I have no idea where the Blackners live, the circle is hiding away from the rest of the land so it is the only place existing there." She said. "She said the stone would lead us to her, it is still glowing." Sirius brought the necklace out from his pocket. "Let me see that," Jade said and took it from him. "There's something written on it." She said and held the stone out in front of her. "Sesame Ephatalio Portenia." She chanted and heavy wind began to blow around us. "What's happening I asked as the wind began to force us to move closer to each other. "I think we're being transported," Jade responded and she held out her hand to me. "Just for today." She said as I held her hand and she stretched her other hand to Sirius. The wind began to blow heavier and soon the room began to spin, I vaguely saw a black hole forming before it all went black.
