Part Two – Chapter Twenty-Five.
I held Lilly so tight to me, her tears were spent, her body weak from the emotional exhaustion we both felt, and we waited for what seemed like forever, but in reality was just 45 minutes for the doctors to be finished with there tests.
A nurse came in, and told us we could go see Jake, then after they would up date us, but it was all positive so to not worry! Clearly none of these guys have kids, or if they had, they have never been in this situation, because telling us not to worry was a f*****g oxymoron of epic proportions! However, I should be thankful, I should take some comfort, but f**k it was difficult.
Lilly and I entered Jakes room, he was awake, and trying to smile, although I could see the action was causing some discomfort.
