The Alpha and Her King

Chapter Five

Piper’s POV

Today is the day I shift into my wolf. Of course, it happens on the night I have school. Walking into school, the kids were in groups, whispering and looking at me. They must have found out about what I did to Jaron.

“Oh, look, it is Miss Tough Girl!” Madison yelled, and she and her skank crowd laughed.

“Do you want to join Jaron with a f****d-up face, b***h?” I warned her. My eyes turned to black as Venus tried to come forward.

“You can’t touch me. Jaron will f**k you up if you do,” Madison sneered.

“Yeah, he tried that and look at where he is at, in the hospital. Keep pushing your luck and you will be right beside him.” Their giggling quit as fast as it started. Then one of the football players, Macon, stepped forward.

“Girls, she is the Alpha’s daughter. I wouldn’t mess with her. Jaron had it coming,” he warned them.

“She isn’t that tough,” Madison smirked.

“Ok, b***h, meet me behind the football field after school and I will show you tough. You don’t even go to the training classes dad mandates. I will have you on the ground in two seconds, along with the rest of your skank squad.” I continued to walk to my locker, already ready running late for my first class. The day went by quickly with my classes and when the last bell rang, I went out to the football field. Of course, Madison was there and wanted to get her ass handed to her.

“I see that you finally showed up. Didn’t think you would,” she smirked. I put my bag down and walked up to her.

“If you want an ass whooping, stay in the circle. Otherwise, get the f**k back,” I told her friends. They all took a few steps back to watch our fight. I quickly threw my hair up into a messy bun and got into my stance. Lykeon and Julian ran up to me before the fight started.

“Piper, what are you doing? Dad is going to be mad that you got into another fight at school,” Lykeon told me.

“He will understand with this b***h. I am tired of her damn mouth. The only thing it is good at is sucking c**k,” I replied, pushing them to the side. Madison stepped into the circle and she lunges at me. I moved to the side, elbowing her in the back. Then I turned around and punched her in the face, knocking her out cold.

“Anyone else?” I asked. Everyone held their hands up, stepping back, and shaking their heads no. Macon picked her up, and they all left the field.

“Damn, sis, you made quick work of that one,” Julian laughed. “Let’s get home before mom comes looking for us.” I picked up my bag, and we walked home. When we got home, mom was ready to walk out the door with the keys in her hand.

“Where were you? You are late getting home,” she asked.

“I had to take care of some business,” I told her. She c****d her eyebrow at me and the boys chuckled.

“Yeah, showing Madison who is boss,” Julian opened his big mouth. I glared at him.

“Why must you get into fights all the time?” she asked.

“The skank asked for it. She thought she could kick my ass, and she was the one who ended up on the ground,” I replied, grabbing an apple out of the bowl on the counter. Mom sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

“That is the fourth fight this month, not including Jaron. When are you going to learn not to get into fights?”

“When people treat me with a bit more respect,” I fired back. “You don’t realize how bad we get bullied at school because we are yours and dad’s children. They don’t care that our father is the Alpha of the pack!” My words about being constantly bullied because of our Alpha bloodlines shocked Mom. I see mom linked someone and I believe it is dad. A few minutes later, dad walked in, looking pissed.

“What is this that the three of you are getting bullied?” he asked.

“It’s true, dad. It’s an everyday thing for the popular kids to torment us. Piper had enough and put one of them on the ground today,” Julian explained to dad, smirking. Dad did not look happy.

“I will have an emergency pack meeting tonight, and if these kids will not stop, I will deal with their parents,” dad growled. “But right now, Piper, you need to get ready for tonight. Your mom put a white dress in your room for you to wear.” I went to my room and in my closet was a white dress hanging there.

After my homework was done, I went down to the barn to visit Eivor and Chaos. They both were in their paddock. Chaos was aggravating Eivor, running around him and nipping at him. Eivor would throw out a hind leg and pin his ears back, trying to get Chaos, but he was too fast for my old man.

“Chaos! Leave him alone!” I yelled. They both stopped goofing around and ran up to the fence. I gave them both scratches on their withers, making them groom each other. I giggled and hugged them both.

“Hey Pipe, want to bring them in? It’s getting close for feeding time!” Anthony yelled as he was bringing in Kassandra’s two horses in. I grabbed their halters and threw them on, clipping the hook on the side. I opened up the gate and led them both into the barn. As soon as we got close to Eivor’s stall, I threw the lead rope over his back and he walked right in as I led Chaos into his stall. Taking off their halters, Anthony brought their feed with joint supplements, minerals, and vitamins. I dumped both scoops and threw in each three flakes of hay.

“Piper, where are you? Dinner is ready!” mom announced over our link.

“I’m at the barn. Be there in a few.” Mom tries to cook for us twice a week, so we can have some private family time without being under the pack’s eyes. When I walked into our suite, everyone was sitting at the table, with mom’s lasagna and bread sticks sitting on our plates. After washing my hands, I sat down next to Kassandra and ate.

“We are having a pack meeting in an hour. I want all of you kids there, so the pack can see the consequences of their actions. I will not tolerate any bullying, especially to my children. Anyone who bullies anyone and my children and harms anyone will be executed,” dad announced to us. I’m happy that Madison was warned to improve her behavior or face death if she harms me again.

After we finished dinner and cleaned the kitchen, we all headed to the center for a quick meeting with the pack. We entered and found the room full of our members, with Madison and her parents in the front row, and Jaron and his parents as well. Walking to the front of the room, Madison pointed to me and yelled out, “She is a freak and a bully! Look at what she did to me!” I bruised her face and likely broke her nose.

Dad stood in front of everyone, getting their attention. “My children are getting bullied and abused by your children while they are at school. This ends TODAY! Not only with my children, but with any other child and adult in the pack. We will banish your family and execute the offender if this continues! I will NOT tolerate any bullying in this pack! We need to work with each and bring each other up, not abuse the weak and misfits!” He ordered everyone and there was mumbling going on throughout the crowd.

“Your daughter broke my daughter’s nose!” Marilyn yelled, pointing at Madison’s face. “Maybe you should start with that little b***h right there!”

“Piper was only defending herself because your daughter is a stuck-up, arrogant cunt!” Macon spoke up, standing up for me.

“How dare you say that about my daughter? She is an angel!” Mark growled at Macon.

“No, she is not, sir. She and her friends torment any of the girls who are not part of their crowd. Just last week, I saw Madison pour paint over Aubrey’s head in art class because her project was better than hers, then destroyed it by taking a pair of scissors to it and cut it up. Or how she orchestrated to have Yasmine’s clothes to be stolen and all the towels taken out of the locker room while she was in the shower after gym class, forcing her to run through the school naked? There are more stories I can tell you about her s**t, but those two are recently the worst she has done. I am over having her and her skanks hanging around us because they are giving us a bad name,” Macon explained some wrongdoings Madison and her skank patrol have done.

“Piper, is this true?” dad asked.

“Alpha, it is true!” Aubrey spoke up.

“Alpha, I got an out-of-school suspension because of her,” Yasmine cried. Her parents glared at Madison as they tried to comfort Yasmine.

“All of you are lying! She wouldn’t do that!” her dad growled, lunging at the girls. The warriors quickly got between him, Aubrey, and Yasmine before he could harm them.

“Security, take Madison and her parents to the cells. Take her siblings to their house and tell them to pack bags for them and their parents. Madison, since you love bullying innocent people, you will be the first to be executed!” dad declared to the family. Her mom screamed and begged my dad to spare Madison, and her dad tried to fight off the warriors. “Madison, I will execute you in the morning, and Mark and Marilyn, you will leave the pack as soon as it is over. I learned from past mistakes about bullying and it almost costed our Luna’s and the pack’s lives. Anyone else want to join her?”

There was murmuring going around the crowd and no one said nothing else. Guards led Madison and her parents, resisting, out of the building to the prison.

“Ok, this meeting has adjourned. We have our shift ceremony tonight, so please come out and be there for our members who are shifting into their wolf the first time,” he announced, and people poured out of the building.

“Don’t you think that is a little harsh as punishment?” mom asked him.

“Remember Paul and Shelia doing that to you? I will not allow that to happen again in my pack or to my members ever again. I want our members to come to us if they have a problem,” he told her, pulling her close to him. Mom’s face went sad and buried her head into dad’s shoulder and shed a few tears. The Beta at Blood Stone where she is from finally reported Mom’s stepfather, Paul, who had abused her for years, removing Mom from the Gamma floor and banishing him instead of executing him. Paul attacked the pack with the help of the rogues and Shelia tried to turn the pack against mom by claiming that she is the rightful Luna of the pack. After the attack, dad executed the ones who are harming others and banish their families.

After the meeting, I went back to the house with my siblings, while mom and dad stayed back to talk to some members when Adonia came up to us.

“You better not try to get Jaron executed or my family banished because you want to be a little b***h!” she yelled at me, slapping me across the face. I linked dad to get outside as soon as possible. Before I could respond, Winter tackled her to the ground, growling in her face.

“You dumb b***h! What right do you have to hurt my pup? Give me one reason I shouldn’t rip your throat out right now?” she growled, snapping at Adonia’s face. Matt ran up to us, trying to get Winter off his mate.

“What happened, Piper?” he asked. He saw the handprint on the side of my face. “Why did you slap her for? Are you that stupid to attack the child of our Alpha and Luna?” He was glaring at his mate. “Are you that willing to jeopardize my rank and job to attack Piper?” Matt’s anger boiled, and his wolf struggled for dominance.

“She was going to tell on our son and have us kicked out of the pack because of her lies!” she cried, trying to get Winter off her.

“If she was going to do that, she would have already said something in the meeting! Your bullshit is over! I, Mathew Aaron Johnson, Delta of the Mountain Moon Pack, reject you, Adonia Marie Palmer of the Mountain Moon Pack! I do not want to see you again and our son will stay here with me to learn some manners!” Adonia winced in pain from the rejection.

“You cannot do this! I am your mate!” she cried.

“ACCEPT THE REJECTION, b***h!” Winter ordered her, growling in her face. Adonia laid there trembling, hoping that she would get out of here alive.

“I, Adonia Marie Palmer, accept your rejection, Mathew Aaron Johnson,” she said and screamed from the pain of their bond breaking. Winter got off Adonia and shifted back into mom.

“Warriors are coming to get you right now, b***h! You will die with Madison in the morning.” Adonia’s eyes got big.

“Wait, it was a big understanding. I know she would not try to hurt my son!” Adonia begged for her life.

“Too late! You crossed the line when you hurt my daughter!” mom growled, Winter trying to take over again. Adonia looked over and saw the warriors running up to us and panicked. She quickly shifted into her wolf and took off. Though she was slower because of lack of training, she still slipped past the warriors in their wolf form. She ran into the woods and they ran in after her. After several minutes, we felt a connection break, and she was dead.

Mom said, “I apologize, Matt, but she brought it on herself, especially after attacking my daughter without provocation.”

“I know. I saw the entire thing. It happened so fast that I didn’t have time to react until afterwards. I should have rejected her a long time ago, but I stayed with her because of my son,” he sadly said. “Are you ok, Piper?”

“I am ok. Just stunned. I cannot believe she did that to me, but I don’t have to worry about her anymore. Hopefully, you can get Jaron to change his attitude before it is too late,” I told him. “Now, if you excuse me, I have to get ready for tonight.” Kassandra and Soma walked up to the house with me so I could get ready for my first shift.

A few hours later, everyone gathered on the training grounds to support the ones who are going through their first shift. People wondered why at fourteen, I was dressed for the ceremony. Julie, one of our members, stopped me.

“Piper, why are you dressed for the ceremony? It is for those who have gotten their wolves. You are only fourteen,” she told me.

“You will wait and see,” I responded. Joining the others, we turned to my dad, and he explained our responsibility for our wolves and how the Moon Goddess had blessed us with our other halves. Then he told us we can shift. My family was standing around me when it was time.

“It will hurt but let Venus do all the work,” mom instructed me. “Let your subconscious slip back and let her come forward.” I did what she instructed and then my bones cracked, hurting so badly, causing me to scream. Everyone else around me was screaming from the pain as their shifts continued. I could feel my face get longer and the hair growing through my skin. I screamed through the pain, and then it was over. Looking down at my hands, I had paws, and they were black. Mom and my family gasped next to me.

“What does she look like?” I asked mom through our link. Mom got her phone out and took a picture and showed it to me. Venus was big, almost as big as Deacon and Winter, and she was silver, with a black half-moon over her right eye. The tips of her ears and all four of her paws were black. Her tail had black rings going to the tip of her tail.

“Piper, Venus is beautiful,” mom swooned, running her hands through her fur.

“I love your mom even more!” Venus told me and she licked mom’s face, making her giggled. Several of the pack members stared, couldn’t believe that I already got my wolf. Some of them came up to her, admiring how unique she looked.

“Luna, your daughter’s wolf is amazing,” one of them said. Venus c****d her head at them, wagging her tail. My siblings came up to see her, with Emma and Alex climbing all over her. She was loving the attention.

“We are going to take our run. Everyone must stay within the borders, so you do not get attacked by the rogues and humans!” dad ordered, shifting into Deacon. Deacon came up to Venus with pride on his face and rubbed his head against hers.

“You kids go back into the house. We will be back in a few hours,” mom ordered them.

“I will watch them until you return,” Chloe told her. Mom nodded her head and shifted into Winter. In a way, Venus has a bit of both Deacon and Winter with its coloring. Deacon took off running, and we all followed him into the woods.

Being in my wolf’s form heightened my senses. I could see better in the dark and my hearing has improved. It was great! Feeling the earth under her feet was impressive, as I could feel the vibration on the pack running through the woods.

“You want to see something cool?” Venus asked me.

“Yeah,” I answered her. She blinked and our vision changed to where she could locate anybody’s heat within one hundred yards! I thought it was so cool!

“Can all wolves do that?” I asked her.

“No, just us. It is because we are the daughter of the Chosen One that we get special abilities, like you having the teleportation and force field abilities in your human form. You can also use them when you shifted into me,” she explained. I got excited!

“Mom! I just found out that Venus can change her sight and register the heat signatures!” I excitedly told her. Winter stopped in her tracks and looked at Venus, like she grew a third head.

“Are you sure?” Mom asked.

“Yep. She just tried it with me!” I had Venus do it again, and I found a rabbit hiding in the bushes nearby. Venus went into the bushes and brought it out a few minutes later. Mom and Winter were impressed by Venus.

Winter nodded her head, and we took off running to catch up to dad. We ran for a few hours until it was time to go back and execute Madison for bullying me.

The group ran up to the prison, where there were clothes waiting for us. I was nervous about being naked in front of everyone, so mom and dad stood around me until I shifted and put on a T-shirt and shorts. They shifted and did the same.

Madison and her family were already outside the prison, waiting for their fates. We approached them, and we saw Madison chained to the pole, awaiting her death.

“I hope you will never meet the Moon Goddess, b***h! My family will get you back for this!” Madison snarled.

“That is why they are getting banished, b***h,” I told her, smirking at her. Dad talked about how the pack is supposed to take care of each other and help each other out to be strong and successful. He continued about how he will not tolerate any bullying and if any happens in the pack from now on, the bully would meet the same fate as Madison. He turned to me, holding out his hand. I took it and he whispered in my ear.

“You can have the honors. If not, I understand.” I got nervous and looked at mom. She agreed with dad, knowing that Madison has been bullying me too long. Eventually, I will take over the pack, so I have to show the pack no weakness. I nodded my head and walked to Madison. She stood there glaring at me, trying to break the chains.

“You don’t have the balls, b***h! You are weak, just like your mother!” she snarled. I looked over at mom and a claw grew at the tip of my finger.

“You are wrong, b***h!” I sliced her throat and watched her die as she bled out. When the doctor confirmed she was dead, dad took her family to the gates and banished them.
