(27)Family reunion

Immediately Lisa and Adrian arrived at their place,they were both exhausted from the long journey, they both took their shower in turns and proceeded to prepare something for themselves.

Lisa was busy in the kitchen as Adrian took his shower, suddenly, Adrian's phone rang,and Lisa took it to answer the call. It was his mom

"Hey son?" His mom asked on the other end

"Hey mom it's me Lisa"Lisa answered

"Ooh hey Lisa, how are you ,where is Adrian?"

"I'm good mom, Adrian is in the shower"

"I miss you guys, when are you coming over, are you still at your home?"

"No we just got here like a few hours ago"

"Ooh that's great I hope you guys enjoyed"

"Yes we did and I met my mom too, I'm just happy"

"Wow, you mean your mom came along I though she abandoned you guys,how's she?"

"She's fine she explained everything to us, and by the way we're planning on coming tomorrow"

"Now that's the news I wanted to here, I hope to meet your mom too, your beauty explains much, maybe I know her, I mean who knows? And by the way where did you say she comes from?"

"Makueni county" Lisa answered as she prepared the dishes

"Ooh wow I also come from Makueni looking forward to meet her, so I should prepare your favourite meal,at what time are you guys supposed to arrive?"

"Mmh I don't know then actual time but Lem ask Adrian" she said as she rushed to get out of the kitchen, she bumped into Adrian

"Babe who's that you're talking to?" Adrian asked

"Your mom, she wants to talk to you" she said as she handed him his phone back and proceeded to arrange the dishes on the table.

"Hey mom"

"Hey son how're you doing?"

"I'm good mom,what's up?"

"Lisa told me you guys are coming tomorrow,what time exactly?"

"We will be there by two o'clock mom"

"You better be,you know your aunts will be here so you should come early"

"Okay mom,bye I love you"

"I love you too son and tell Lisa I said bye"

The rest of the lunch was taken in silence as everyone was in his/her own thoughts.

By the time they get to bed, they already agreed to travel in the morning

Lisa and Adrian arrived at their parent's place around 12 o'clock, the gate was opened by the soldier who was always friendly. Adrian drove and parked the car at beside some of the cars in the compound. They both got out and we're met by Sharon in the Midway.

"Hey Lisa long time, you look beautiful" Sharon said as she hugged Lisa and she chuckled, Lisa was dressed in I black bandage off shoulder dress with black ankle boots and a matching Gucci handbag.

"Long time Sharon, you don't look bad yourself you're glowing"

"Come on Lisa, stop joking" she said as she laughed lightly and helped Lisa carry her bag

"So all this while I've not been recognized huh this is weird and very unfair" Adrian complained on the other end as he carried his suitcase.

"Sorry bro blame it on gender, but since you brought Lisa home, she replaced my love for you, so don't complain" Sharon joked and they all laughed

"God know how much I hate you Sharon" he said and Lisa laughed

"The feeling is mutual big brother", she said and Adrian sneered.

Sharon rang the door bell and he mom was the one who opened

"Wow look at who we have here" Tina said as she hugged Lisa first then her son

"Lisa been just two month and you've grown to be more beautiful and glowing"

"Thanks mom, so do you"

"Don't even mention that my daughter come in, young man, you're growing taller than your dad" Tina said and Adrian chuckled

"All thank to your genes mom" he said as he exchanged a hug with his mother.

Everyone one else was in the living room, two of Adrian's aunties from kiambu and one of his mother's sister, auntie Stephanie.

They proceeded to hug and greet them. Adrian's dad was not around but he was bound to get home in the evening,he had a business meeting with one of his long term Friend.

"Wow you look familiar?" Auntie Stephanie said to Lisa and everyone turned to look at her and Adrian decided to interrupt.

"Auntie Lisa is my girlfriend I just bright her home the last season and you were not around, how comes she looks familiar to you?" Adrian asked confused.

"I know Adrian, but she resembles one of my friends back at grandma's, Tina do you remember the lady I was telling you about? The tall, brown and beautiful lady, my friend, actually the one I told you we buried her family last month?"

"Ooh yeah I do, why are you asking?" Tina asked confused and Lisa raised her brows in confusion.

"She came back just one month, ago she's been living in the States for almost fifteen years now,but the moment she came back, her family were killed including her elder sister who had just come with her white husband, it was sad and I don't think she'll ever get over such a tramautazing ordeal", Stephanie said and Lisa remained stupefied on the ground confused, surged with emotions, that was her mom,she was taking about,she was just lost of words to tell her, she didn't even realize she was crying untill when Adrian embraced her.

"Wait, honey did I say anything bad, did I offend you in any way?" Auntie Stephanie asked looking confused and concerned at the same time.

"No auntie, the woman you're taking about us actually her mom, they just met a few days ago before we traveled here"

"Ooh my God, you mean Kate is her mother? Jeez I'm so sorry sweetheart, your mom was my best friend, we come from the same village" she said as she hugged Lisa who by then had stopped crying

"It's okay auntie I was just emotional and all that, Kate is my mother but it had been a while since we last met, and we just met the other day, I never knew I'd find someone who is actually my mom's best friend" Lisa said

"Wow I know your her, we used to meet when they were with Stephanie, I'd like to meet her this coming days, mind to give me her number?" Tina asked and Lisa nodded.

It was like a family reunion, Lisa couldn't believe her soon to be mother-in-law God willing knew her mom and they actually met before, she was overexcited and glad she her family was somehow growing.
