I sit on a chair with Dr. Richardson's hand on my shoulder. He has just told me the medical history of Mike and there is something that does not add up. I have no idea what it is and why I would even think there is something wrong. Then the loudspeakers go on.
"Dr. Richardson you are needed in room 656. Thank you"
I watch as he listens carefully to the announcement and then I see an apologetic look on his face.
"I am so sorry-"
"No, please go I know you have things to do. I am just going to sit here for a little while longer. Go and do what you need to do"
"Are you sure?"
"I am very sure. Now go"
I watch as he quickly stands up and starts running. I know the life of a doctor is unpredictable and he has many patients he needs to look after. I am very grateful that Mike's doctor
