I got into the car with Heidi and my father. As we had gone to the car and were getting into it, I had noticed that my father and Heidi had been giving each other secretive smiles. Their behaviour wasn’t helping my nerves. I didn’t know what they had planned, so all I could do was hope that it wasn’t anything embarrassing. My father started the car and we drove down the dirt road heading towards the center of our pack land.
