I was sitting at the dining table in the kitchen when I heard the girls laughing as they made their way down the stairs. The moment they reached the bottom of the stairs, I called out, “I need to speak to you both. In here please. Now.”
Both of them came into the kitchen and looked at me expectantly. Without waiting for them to ask what I wanted to speak to them about, I said, “I need you both to come to the packhouse with me this evening. I have an important meeting taking place in my office and it is imperative that the two of you be there.”
Heidi asked, “Is this about…”
Cutting her off I said, “Yes. Yes, it is.”
Lara looked between the two of us and asked, “Wait a second. What is going on here? What secrets are the two of you keeping?”
