If I'm A Bastard, What Does That Make You

She appeared to have been lost in the discussion, unable to grasp a single understanding of what Riley had been ranting. Moreover, her polite smile and the warm feeling she gave off expressed her affection towards her brother, despite him being cold towards her. It was just an epitome of a sister begging for her brother's love, not giving up even when she was hurt. Such an innocent expression looked extremely naive and softhearted, evoking a sense of pity to anyone who was watching. Even Riley had almost felt guilty towards her. If he wasn't resolute about his convictions, he would probably have felt no lost apologizing to Angel. With his other hand in his pocket, Riley maintained a cold smile, with both of his hands in his pocket he leaned towards Angel. "You don't need to keep acting, no body's watching, you know" Angel's expression still didn't falter and she replied to Riley after a sigh, but her expression didn't seem to show any anger, but helplessness in it. "I'm really slow witted, brother's words seems to be Greek to me." By saying that his words meant Greek to her wasn't different from Angel indirectly telling him that he was speaking a foreign language that she couldn't understand. She appeared to be calm, composed and regretful as she gazed at Riley with concern. But Riley didn't bother to explain, it's not like he didn't understand her. She was his twin and they had been together for ten months even before seeing the light for fourteen years, so how could he not be sure of her personality. "It's fine if you don't get Greek, I'll translate it to French or Russian...", Riley suddenly stopped and pondered a while, as if thinking of something quite serious, he suddenly replied. "Oh right, I know none of the language..." Riley suddenly chuckled, then he leaned closer to Angel, abruptly grabbing her slim wrist in a tight grip. Causing her to suddenly take a step back subconsciously, but her wrist was still tightly grabbed by Riley, so she could only inch backward, unable to escape. "How about using your own method?" Her own methods? Angel didn't know what Riley meant by her own methods, but experience had thought her that Riley wasn't only fearless, but his words carried a lot of sarcasm. He had even caused many people to run away from him in tears. Not only were his words the bitter truth, but it was like a knife that stabbed one's heart viciously, leaving no route of escape. "What do you say?" Angel wanted to speak, but she didn't know what to say in order to protect herself from Riley's sarcasm. Neither could she run away from him, but she still tried to maintain her calm and endure the pain in her wrist. "Riley, you're... hurting me." She wasn't lying, Riley's grip was indeed too tight, as if he was bearing a grudge against her. Yet she couldn't tell what grudge they had, even though she didn't feel any affection towards this brother, she had always treated him politely like a kin. Besides, she treated everyone around her with respect, so her schemes had always been a success, even Auriane had always fallen for her plot. However, her attitude towards her had suddenly changed and she became unfathomable, like a total stranger that she couldn't see through no matter what. This brother of hers was one of the the people she couldn't see through either, but it was fine to ignore him. The number of days he spent at home could be counted in a hand, so his cold attitude towards her could be overlooked. "What do you think, Angel, should I use your method to help you understand?" Riley repeated himself, with a lot of patience, while Angel merely gritted her teeth and replied with a pained expression. "I... really don't understand what you mean, please...let go." She was really in deep pain, but there was nothing she could do about it, Riley really seems to be holding a grudge against her, but she didn't dare ask him. "Riley White!" A high pitch voice echoed in the back, causing Angel to finally exhale a sigh of relief. If no one had come she might really have ended up losing her wrist to Riley. But it was good that there weren't alone in the house, because Riley still knew his limit. He could act reckless outside and cause trouble as he pleased, because it was considered his territory. But at home, he certainly had to follow some rules, no matter how reluctant he was. Angel was right, because as soon as Riley heard the high pitch voice from the back, he simply clicked his tongue and let go. "Tsk, fine I'll let go you're precious daughter." As soon as her wrist was released, Angel quickly retreated a step back, massaging her hands that had turned red from being held. She wondered if it would leave a scar. "Riley White, haven't you caused enough trouble outside, then you came back to continue." Alfred White scolded, glaring at this useless son of his that he hadn't seen for quite a while. It felt as of he been been quite a decade that he hadn't seen this son of his. Due to the company working on an important project, he had been traveling a lot for the past two years. During his business trip he heard about the trouble his son had born causing, but each time he spared time to come back home, Riley would be gone to visit a relative from his mother's side, but it wasn't actually confirmed of he stayed there for long. But it was certain that the number of times that he spent in the house were quite countable in a handful. Just thinking about the trouble he had been causing, Alfred White had a headache. While other families yearn for a male child to continue the family line and take over the family's business and bring it to greater height. He felt that having a sensible daughter as Angel was better than having ten sons like Riley. "Heye, old man, you're actually back." Alfred frowned and his gaze towards Riley was that of dissaproval. It was known to him that Raymond wasn't respectful and they didn't share anything as father and son. But he had always tolerated his attitude and rough character, but it didn't mean he could accept everything about him, like his disregard towards him as a father. "Riley White, watch your tongue." His words were cold and threatening, causing one to feel a chill, but Riley merely cast a glance at the tall man that instilled fear with his words and authorative aura. "Aren't I doing that by not being a dictator." "You..." Alfred really wanted rush forward and s***k these unfilial son, but Angel reacted faster by rushing towards Alfred's side. "Dad, please calm down! Brother has always been like that, there's no need for you to risk your health to argue with him. That's not how we should solve this problem." The problem she meant was quite clear to Riley, but he didn't care anymore. It didn't matter to him how he was viewed by his family and it didn't matter how others view him either. It was just good as long as he could live his life without worry. "You're indeed sensible..look at your sister, can't you learn from her." Alfred glared at Riley, spitting out the words on his face without the any care in the world if he would hurt him. But Riley didn't care, he merely sneered band replied sarcastically. "Right, I should really learn to be a fox and train my acting skills." "You bastard, what's that attitude?" Alfred was really furious as he pointed at Riley with anger, he really didn't know what he did in his past life to be granted such a son. "Old man, you should watch your word, if I'm a bastard, then what does that make you?"
