7 in the evening, when I arrived home, I immediately notice the car we use was still not there.
It means to say that Dauis was not home yet.
Where could he possibly be? I thought to myself.
Could it be that he was angry with me too that he choose not to go home just yet? Did I push him too hard?
Many possible questions loathing on my mind that needed an answer but it can’t unless Dauis tells me himself.
I was a little lost that, when I come to open the door, I was greeted by the back of Nurse Tilly who was on her phone. She doesn’t seem to notice my arrival as she continues to speak about something.
“I found nothing, not even a single picture.” She said as she unconsciously been tapping her fingers at the table.
“......”
“Believe me, not even a single. And for the information, I sent her samples to the lab.”
“.......”
“It’ll be done a day or two, so no worries. After this, we clear this th–”
“Uhhurmm” I cough softly behind her, cutting her from the ‘info’ as she addresses it.
“Mi–Miss Ale!” your b-back…” She stammered while she scramble to gather whatever she was holding.
“How long have you been there?” she later asked. Her eyes widen as she grew paler and paler, now that I am questioningly staring at her.
“Not that long. Why stammer?” I said nonchalantly. I don't want to provoke her, thus, I pretended not to hear her alone.
But, guilty people tend to defend themselves without even you implicating harm to them.
She hurriedly explain all about what she thought I heard.
“M-Miss Ale, It was my sister—”
“It’s okay, I don't mind at all. I didn’t forbid you for that.” cut her off.
There is no sense in pondering her since she would only lie.
She then hurriedly run into the kitchen to inform the others of my arrival.
The head maid then quickly ran to my side.
“Miss Ale, we’ve been so worried about you.” She said as she bowed her head to me.
“It's okay, I’m fine. I will head upstairs.” I said as I tap her on her shoulders.
I feel a little bit tired, mentally and physically.
