“Roldan, can you look at this Nurse Tilly Cruz's personal information?. Please do run a background check and her credibility. I need it asap.” I said urgently over the phone with a very controlled voice.

“But why, who is she?” Answered by the man on the other line.

“She’s the nurse assigned to me. And I have this unsettling feeling about her.”

“In doubt again?” he asked in surprise. As if he was new to this...

“You know me, I barely trust anyone. Look, I don't have enough time here. Her eyes was always been following me pretty annoyingly.” I said while turning my head from left to right as I am vigilantly looking around. I even have to sneak out of the house to the back just to make this call.

“Okay, we'll try to look for it. I will email you.” sensing my urgency, he asked no more and acted accordingly.

“Okay. Go on now. Be careful.”

“Uhm… Thank you!” then, I hang up the phone and quickly head inside before she notice that I was not around.

As I entered the house, I beam into her who was standing in my way and was looking at me, I supposed even when I made the call, she was already there.

I was like a thief here now!. tsk-tsk...

"Miss Ale, where have you been? I was looking for you," she said worriedly.

She always acts like a very refine and innocent young woman, too gentle and very soft-spoken. I wonder if it is even true.

only those who know nothing will be fooled by her innocence and sweetness.

And I know better such kinds.

This woman is something.

“Very pretentious!” I angrily sneered inwardly. But, I have to act nice and good to her so as not to make her think that I am doubting her.

I smile at her sweetly and reach for her arms to assist me in going inside.

“I just wanted to have a walk outside,” I briefly explain, still beaming her with my untainted smile.

“You should have called me, so I can go with you.” She said innocently and responded to me with an equal smile.

“Hmph! Only fools believe your lies.” she inwardly thought. As much as she wanted to voice it out, she stood her ground. I must see further of her lies.

What’s important here is that I already know.

“It’s okay,” I said to her dismissingly as I wave my free hand to her.

“But it is my duty Miss Ale.” she pursued.

“I was about to call you, but you were doing something, so it's okay. No big deal about it. And you don't have to worry a thing, the doctor already said that I am fine now.”

“That’s good to hear Miss. so maybe in the future, you wouldn’t need my services at all.”

“Who knows, maybe we will continue your service here since I will be giving birth in the next few months. We can still use your service tho.” I said playing along with her.

“Really? It would be my honor, Miss. I will work hard and efficiently this time.” She beamed excitedly.

“Easy,” I said laughing at her expression.

She was then humming happily as she walk me to the living room and deposited me there.

She quickly excused herself to take some snacks and then walk away.

My face instantly changed the moment she turn her back to me.

Staring at her maliciously as she walked away.

“What could there be that you are hiding from me Tilly, and from the previous call,” I asked silently as I look intently at the lady’s back.

And so, with that in mind, I sneak back into the kitchen just at the right time so she wouldn't think that I was following her.

I stopped by at the entrance to peep on her just as then. She was indeed making something that I think was a snack like she mentioned me to.

I was about to go back when she turns from left to right suspiciously. Checking if no one was there. So, I hide behind the cabinet in the hope to see if what she was going to do.

The woman then cautiously pick up her phone from behind the pocket and started to dial.

It takes not long before somebody picks it up as she started to greet whoever is on the other line.

“Hi, guess what?” she said in a very serious tone yet her eyes still wanders around the room cautiously.

“.......”

“She said that they are thinking to extend my work here. So that means to say we still have a lot of time.”

“....”

“Yeah, you can always count me in on that. And the result will be ready tomorrow.” then, she quickly shove it inside her pocket and slight grin at whatever she was thinking.

I hurried back to the living and pretended to be reading a book.

“Here you go, Miss. Have a taste.” She said as she beams a very bright smile at me.

“Thank you, Nurse Tilly.” I smile back at her as I gently put down the book I was “reading”. Then she sat opposite me.

“O hope you like it.” She said.

“But of course, you’ve been preparing my foods lately and I like it all.”

“Is that so Miss?”

“Yeah.”

I asked a few personal questions about her and she, of course, as expected, answered it all smoothly.

We talk a lot, about random topics, and few know about these questions which she never falters to answer.

“Sh*t! Such a smart woman.” I inwardly curse. Then I bid goodbye as I said I wanted to have some rest.

I don't even know if she was hinting at it and just playing along with my questions or if she answered me with all honesty.

Her eyes tho are not telling any hint of lies, so I just hope I was all along wrong here.

Taking out my laptop, I decided on two checks first the cameras I have set in a few corners.

Some are cleared, some have her with dubious movements, then, the last part was in our very own bathroom. As if she is getting something from the sink, but when she leaves everything was there and there seemed to be nothing missing.

Setting aside, I can't help but think of all the possible reasons. She is not supposed to be doing the cleaning, but why is the sudden?

Just never let me know that she was something up to, or I might kill her mercilessly.
