The Troubled Alphas

The eldest, Alpha, immediately informed his brothers and the three of them put the whole pack in lock down in a few seconds. The guards and patrolling officers on the border were given specific instructions about not letting anyone pass the pack border. Running towards the place where their mate was kept, they saw how a few nurses and guards were all suffering from the same thing. Each time they were scratched, the surrounding flesh had turned blue, meaning they were poisoned too. Seeing this, Evan felt anger surging inside him, since he loved each one of his pack members and couldn't stand the fact that anyone would dare to harm them, even if that person was his mate. He let out a loud growl as he shifted to his wolf and his brothers did the same thing. Standing on all fours, their wolves, Gavin, Nathan and Cole, sniffed the area for the scent of their mate and started running, following that scent. Since they were identical triplets, their wolves too looked exactly the same except for their eye colours. All of their wolves were majestic in built and had the speed of a bullet.

Their paws were barely touching the ground as the wolves ran at full speed, their bodies moving against the wind. All of them had their senses open and focused so that they could detect even a small disturbance. Just then they heard a loud thud and it was coming from the direction they were running in. Without thinking twice for a second, they all started to run faster than before. As they became closer, the intoxicating scent of natural honey became thicker and thicker, indicating their mate was indeed near somewhere. Their ears picked up sounds of laboured breathing and they followed it.

Gavin was the first one to shift to his human form, as he saw his mate passed out on a pile of leaves. Looking around for any intrusion or sign of danger, Nathan and Cole too shifted back to their human form.

"Is she okay?", Ethan hastily asked, his voice panting as he tried to catch his breath.

Checking her for any injury, Evan confirmed that she was after all safe and sound.

"What a pain in the ass!", Econ grunted and mind linked others to stop the search. Since all of them shifted in a moment of spur and tore their clothes during the process, the brothers were butt naked. As Evan picked up the girl, he felt all kinds of goosebumps all over his body and it didn't take long for his muscles to react.

"s**t", he cursed silently as he felt his growing erection.

Even Ethan and Econ were also feeling the effects of breathing the intoxicating scent of their mate. Not only was it driving their wolves crazy, but they also were getting not so appropriate thoughts at all. To make the matter worse, their mate moaned softly in her sleep and the brothers held back their growl. Knowing full well the effect and the surroundings, Econ and Ethan shifted while Evan sat on Ethan's wolf, holding the unconscious girl in his arms.

As they approached the pack house, some of the wolves were stunned and shocked as they saw their Alphas like this but let it go, knowing how protective their Alphas were to every member of the pack. The Alphas took her to the upper most floor, meaning the Alpha floor. Evan placed her in the vacant room adjacent to Ethan's room.

After placing her in the bed, the brothers put on some clothes and mind linked a few guards, asking about the nurses condition. They all breathed a sigh of relief knowing they were all safe, but still the mystery regarding their mate frightened them. From what they heard, she got tempered and started scratching everyone. All those who came in contact with her claws immediately felt nauseated and anxious before they lost consciousness and fainted. Even though they all heard about some wolves being special and gifted by the Moon Goddess herself, they still never heard about any wolf possessing this particular kind of ability. If their mate was really capable of killing people just by a scratch, then she was nothing but a ticking time bomb, since she could kill anyone at anytime she wanted or felt like it. This kind of ability was more dangerous and harmful than being useful.

The brothers were all silent and stood straight as their mother examined their mate. Knowing that she must have passed out from exhaustion, they all felt a sense of relief.

"Take it easy boys", their mother said, once she was finished with her checkup and the Alphas nodded their heads. They already knew that their mother too knew about this girl being their mate, still she didn't say anything to push this matter forward. Once everything was over, the Alphas decided to be on the watch for the night, in case anything happened. They all had dinner in the room and watched their mate's rhythmic breathing. It was very hard for them to control their innate desires, especially when their mate was lying on the bed, helpless and alone. Their wolves, too, didn't make things easy as they wanted to be in control and spend time with her, which resulted in a battle of power control. Still, somehow they all managed to keep everything under control and sleep through the night on the make-shift bed.

Aurora was sleeping peacefully until the vivid scenes of her parents' helpless looks danced in her mind.

"Run.....", the scream echoed in her mind and, without thinking, she too, let out a loud scream. Thrashing her legs and arms, she kept shouting and screaming, which alarmed the Alphas. They all woke up and, seeing their mate having a nightmare, tried to comfort her.

But the moment Aurora felt someone's hand on her, her nightmare turned into reality and she opened her eyes in an instant. She looked around and again found herself in an unfamiliar room. Her eyes kept moving from one Alpha to other as she tried to make sense of what was happening to her. But when one of them tried to take a step towards her, she let out another powerful scream and the Alphas groaned in annoyance. Having no way to have a decent conversation, the triplets released their pheromones simultaneously.

Breathing in three different scents which mixed with each other very well, creating a unique scent, Aurora felt her fear and worry vanishing slowly. After a few seconds, when she felt safe and not threatened, she looked at the Alphas with pleading eyes. Muttering her strength, she said the first thing that came to her mind, shaking the Alphas to their core.

"Please help me, they will kill me".
